No state has taken the election of President Donald Trump harder than California. The Golden State has long been overrun by liberals as Hillary Clintons swamping of Trump by over 4 million votes shows.
California hasnt taken kindly to Trumps win. State Democrats brought in former Obama regime fixer and ex-Attorney General Eric Holder as a legal hired gun and Hollywood celebrities are calling for coups, martial law, open rebellion, and even outright violence.
Unbelievably, a recent comic book/graphic novel CalExit promotes the idea of armed revolt against the United States government.

The other 49 (56 if you are Mister Obama) have our great Constitution, a wonderful history of freedoms and successes, a fair and just legal system, a system of free and fair elections, and a proud military history of defending our security and freedoms.
Cali has virtually open borders, lots (and lots and lots) of boarded-up businesses, and endless supply of litter and graffiti and crime (think drug gangs, here), a great little plan to reduce CO2 to prehistoric levels, a public education system that punishes intelligent and achievement-oriented students, and a phenomenal plan to build a "bullet" train to compete with airlines by offering longer times of travel, greater costs, lower reliability, and a very nice view of Bakersfield.
Hard to pick a winner on this one.
I would call it Commiexit. I am for it and they can take their debt with them too. We would just have to build a longer wall and Jim and John would have to move the Free Republic server to free territory.

It really PO’s me that cities are going to “out” the companies which strengthen the wall. They also state that they will give no government contracts to them.The wall should be built at the east of Ca. so they can enjoy the full benefits.

The awarding of federal contracts is public information. This effort by the dems in CAL is just more grandstanding and they are attempting to intimidate and boycott businesses, which should be illegal when done by a public agency.

As a side note to this thread, please consider the following from a related thread.
Based on the insight of another FReeper, repealing the ill-conceived 17th Amendment (17A) would arguably have the effect of ALL states seceding from the Union without actually doing so.
Getting rid of 17A would help put a major dent in not only putting a stop to unconstitutional federal taxes, taxes that Congress cannot justify under its Article I, Section 8-limited powers, but also putting a stop to unconstitutional federal government interference in the affairs of the sovereign states.
In fact, previous generations of state sovereignty-respecting Supreme Court justices had clarified constitutional limits on the federal governments powers, limits which the unconstitutionally big federal government has been wrongly ignoring for many generations. These limits are evidenced by the following excerpts.
Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States. Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
"State inspection laws, health laws, and laws for regulating the internal commerce of a State, and those which respect turnpike roads, ferries, &c. are not within the power granted to Congress [emphases added]." Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]. United States v. Butler, 1936.
In addition to patriots supporting Trump in leading the states to repeal 17A, patriots also need to support Trump in putting a stop to unconstitutional federal taxes, taxes that Congress cannot justify under its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers.
Once unconstitutional federal taxes are stopped, the states will probably find a tsunami of new state revenues (higher state taxes), that they wont know what to do with, establishing their own healthcare programs, improving public schools, increasing funding for police and fire departments and repairing infrastructure for starters.

Since corrupt Congress is the biggest part of the sewer (imo) that Trump wants to drain, it is actually up to patriots to drain the sewer in the 2018 elections, patriots supporting Trump by electing as many new members of Congress as they can who will support Trump.
In the meanwhile, patriots need to make sure that there are plenty of Trump-supporting candidates on the primary ballots.
Patriots need to qualify candidates by asking them why the Founding States made the Constitutions Section 8 of Article I; to limit (cripple) the federal governments powers.
Patriots also need to make sure that candidates are knowledgeable of the Supreme Court's clarifications of the federal governments limited powers listed above.
Also, unlike incumbent members of Congress who wrongly remained silent while misguided state officials abridged the constitutionally enumerated rights of citizens during the lawless Obama Administration, patriots need to make sure that candidates on the 2018 primary ballots commit to the following.
Candidates need to commit to making and enforcing 14th Amendment-related laws to prosecute misguided state officials who use state powers to abridge constitutionally enumerated protections, 1st Amendment-protected religious expression and free speech for example, such actions prohibited by Section 1 of the 14th Amendment.
14th Amendment, Section 1: All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States [emphasis added]; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
