if the bill gets passed he should then imeadeatly ask permission from the supreme court to fire Muller offering up the several reasons that this needs to be done....in a lot of ways this actually gives him political cover for the firing in that it is approved by the courts rather then him and it would probably end up being a 5-4 split. the only real question is whether justice Kennedy plays ball

My guess is that Trump has already set Mueller up to make an even greater ass of himself.

So they pass a bill and Trump doesn’t sign it, what then?

Besides what they propose is unconstitutional

I’m still curious because I’ve heard ‘Muler’ would be required to recuse (think they said statute was ‘shall recuse’) himself due to conflicts of interest from multiple people.

If so why is no one demanding he do that?

Trump should dismiss Mueller, who is putting together a totally biased team whose primary aim is to attack the president.

************

Trump has at least three good reasons to fire Muller: (1) totally biased team of lawyers; (2) conflict of interest with Comey; and (3) the grand jury impaneled in DC was drawn from a pool of people who voted 96% for Hillary. Sessions should un-recuse himself and remove Mueller.

This is an investigation in search of a crime. It is nothing more than a political vendetta against a populist president who is an outsider. It is subversion.

This shows Republicans still don’t get how furious we will get if they F#$k With Trump.

Time for a march on Washington. Weather will be nice for a “gathering” in September. The GOP needs to SEE how pissed off we are.

GOP is a bunch of deceitful liars. The party has no soul, convictions or principles. There is no reason to vote for them because they let the Dems run the show anyhow.

I’m thinking the Libertarians and Independents might actually have a fighting chance in the next mid-terms.

“as he (Mueller) is ANYTHING but unbiased in ...”

Actually, we don’t know because Mueller or his investigation hasn’t said anything.

It looks like he’s hired a bunch of fellow travellers. Someone said convening a grand jury makes it likely that the investigation will last a long time.

Seems like the investigation should at some point have to justify its existence.

Trump’s rally tonight was very good and substantive. It’s important that he do them just as it was during the campaign.

Right. The brave Senate that licks the spittle of the out of control judiciary.

When the roll is called in the Senate the Senators don’t know whether to respond with “here” or “not guilty”.

Unless the Senators in question have already staged a coup and deposed President trump this extra legal action is going no where.

First, I am not sure that you can make a law retroactive.
Second, the term “bill of attainder” comes to mind.
Third, since the bill is aimed exclusively at President Trump how likely is it that he will sign it? Without the President’s signature or 2/3rds of the House and Senate voting to over ride a Presidential Veto it goes no where.

The way I read the electorate for the 2018 mid-terms is a large majority of them will vote against every Congressman and Senator who pushes this bill either in the primaries or the general election. And remember, the first and only goal for every one in the DC Swamp is to get re-elected; everything else doesn’t make the bottom of the page.
