Attorney General Jeff Sessions moved Thursday to again punish so-called sanctuary cities, this time threatening to deny federal crime-fighting resources to four cities beset by violence – including Stockton San Bernardino – if they don’t step up efforts to help detain and deport people living in the country illegally.
The Justice Department sent letters to cities struggling with gun violence, telling them they will be ineligible for a new program that aims to root out drug trafficking and gang crime unless they give federal immigration authorities access to jails and provide advance notice before releasing someone in custody who is wanted on immigration violations. The cities – Baltimore, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Stockton and San Bernardino – all expressed interest in the Justice Department’s new Public Safety Partnership, which enlists federal agents, analysts and technology to help communities find solutions to crime.
In the letters, the department asked the four prospective cities’ police departments to show proof of their compliance by Aug. 18.

And his point is? Why does he think any elected official in California is interested in protecting Californians from illegal alien violence?
The federal government needs to triple its ICE presence in California and those agents need to be authorized some serious overtime. California needs to be sent a message.

Hey Jeff in case you have not noticed the administration you are a member of is being destroyed maybe you ought to pay some attention to the fire a block away. You can fire Rosenstein without violating your precious recusal.
I’d prefer to see the strongest efforts going first and foremost to the swing states that got Trump elected... Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio & Florida. They deserve to be rewarded.
And then to the states that almost went for Trump... Minnesota, New Hampshire & Nevada.
And then any state that has a Senatorial race in 2018.

Immigration reform and illegal aliens with a criminal past in particular was one of the biggest if not the biggest item in the President's campaign. I congratulate Jeff Sessions for due diligence.
He's already pulled two wins for President Trump's Immigration Order at the USSC....and another win will come in October.
