I would hope that a larger percentage of FReepers do.
At any rate, his passing deserves a mention here, and one without the snarkiness most lefty news sources will no doubt attach to it.
My heartfelt condolences to Jim Marrs' family and friends. May he rest in peace.
Read Rule by Secrecy about 15 years ago, excellent book.
RIP.
He never got to see the official release of the JFK files that are supposed to be released this October....
hopefully he can see them now...
The way the JFK assassination was covered over was a model for cover-ups of other kinds in the decades since. Once you’ve seen how that one worked, you recognize the methods when you see them again. And vice versa.
Are we sure it was natural causes?.......................
I know this guy. Mostly from shows on the history channel and Discovery Channel.
His tin foil hat is not big and unwieldy. He makes some good points.......Cromulent if you will.
RIP Jim.
Maybe it was a heart attack. Maybe in only looked like a heart attack.
Yeh, and also the name Tex Mars comes to mind...related????...some of this stuff gets a bit foggy after 20+ years or so...

He seemed to enjoy creating conspiracy stories out of whole cloth. I listened to some of his ideas - there are a lot of YouTube videos of him. He certainly was enthusiastic.
I think most of his ideas were near-misses with just enough facts to make it sound plausible. He might even have hit a bullseye once or twice.
RIP Mr.Marrs. Thanks for the movie JFK based on your book Crossfire.
It was a pleasure talking to you on the phone about my book. I’m sure you’re talking to Oswald and Kennedy right now.
Jim Marrs was getting close to cracking to JFK assassination and he was silenced by the great-great step Grand Nephew twice removed of Jack Ruby.
Jim Marrs actually had a course at University of Texas Arlington on the Kennedy Assassination—an amazing guy.
Any of his many books are worth the read.
For those who don’t know him. Jim’s analysis of the JFK assassination was based on painstaking on the ground interviews of witnesses (what actual reporters used to do—today a forgotten art form).
His UFO and other conspiracy books are great introductions to the subject for those with open minds.
I didn’t care much for Him Marrs’ conspiracy theories, but his investigatory work on UFOs was first rate. He was a helluva newsman, and a great Texan.
We’ll miss you, Jim.
I have found his work to very very interesting and informative. I personally have Crossfire, Rule by Secrecy, Trillion Dollar Conspiracy, The Rise of the Fourth Reich, and Above Top Secret. Will miss hearing him on C2CAM.
RIP Mr. Marr.
Marrs was a great/brilliant guy. I listened to him whenver he was on no matter where.RIP Jim.
A President of the United States is assassinated in broad daylight in a major US city in front of any number of people and 54 years later we are still arguing about what really happened. Now that is certainly fascinating.
RIP.
