The more math experience you have, the less people can trick you. It’s the reasoning ability and logic that goes with it, not just number crunching or formulas.
E.g., someone with little math experience is more likely to believe it when they are told that man’s contribution to climate is as significant as, let’s say, the sun.
They are more likely to believe that the small amount of smoke they get secondhand is about as bad for them as what a smoker gets.
They are more likely to believe that government helping the poor is cost effective, being unable to imagine how expensive those government employees, buildings, and lavish benefits are.
But courses on white privilege and the problem of whiteness are absolutely necessary.
Haven’t they dropped everything yet? Give the snowflakes more time to protest.
colleges
Decreasing required education classes (hard science skills)
Increasing political indoctrination classes (gender studies, White privilege studies).
and you’re going to pay to be politically indoctrinated
reminds me of the old story of when you got executed in communist countries that would bill the family for the bullet
I remember cursive algebra.....
Old clip, but very funny:
Miss USA-Should math be taught in school?

Honestly folks, if you can’t pass this watered-down version of Intermediate Algebra, you are too dumb to get a degree in anything.
And no student loan should fund you.
The whole purpose of education is to develop a good “BS Detector”.
Of course, the Government doesn’t want that. It’s why we have so many people who fall for the Global Warming Scam.
Whois RAH?
Heinlein?
For women and minorities.
Well, if a job applicant lists “CSU” as their college degree ... “Oh, I’m sorry, you are overqualified!”
And you do not understand what has become of the education realm, which was well underway way back when I escaped the field. I had an English teacher explain to me in exhaustive detail that spelling was not important, just that the (inner-city) kids could get their point across. Expectations are at a bare minimum, and almost universally were designed to make sure that the "educators" were not burdened by them... only paperwork and babysitting.
So Blacks can’t learn it so drop it, leaving non-Blacks with an incomplete education.
More and more dumbing down of the country.
From now on it's Black People's Time./sarc
I recently graduated from CSU (ahem... Cleveland State University) with a bachelors in electrical engineering.
This drove me nuts while working toward my degree. I argued with my counselor that if I was required to take several humanities classes - read black studies - for my engineering degree, then the liberal arts students should be required to take calculus. I lost that fight, of course.

At least we know who to cheat on payroll! They can’t do any mafs!
I had an employee that was I’ll say at least 40. It took me a while but I finally learned couldn’t read nor write. He could sign his name.
He had a fantastic memory though and when the task at hand was fully described, he did precisely as he was told. He was a skilled glazier and good at his job.
When it came to money, he knew precisely what he was due. He could not have been slighted on the payroll.
You made a very good, common-sense argument, which of course means that it was rejected by the politically-correct faculty. It is so frustrating to see my students being forced to take indoctrination courses, which they do not want, and which are of no value to them. They waste time, cost money, and pollute minds. Those courses survive only because they are required for a degree. It is a racket.
>>Doing what, exactly?
Being obedient.
2+2=5 for the obedient.
In other words, 40 percent of freshmen admitted to a CSU campus are not qualified and should never have been admitted.
