The more math experience you have, the less people can trick you. It’s the reasoning ability and logic that goes with it, not just number crunching or formulas.

E.g., someone with little math experience is more likely to believe it when they are told that man’s contribution to climate is as significant as, let’s say, the sun.

They are more likely to believe that the small amount of smoke they get secondhand is about as bad for them as what a smoker gets.

They are more likely to believe that government helping the poor is cost effective, being unable to imagine how expensive those government employees, buildings, and lavish benefits are.

The whole purpose of education is to develop a good “BS Detector”.

Of course, the Government doesn’t want that. It’s why we have so many people who fall for the Global Warming Scam.
