Someone tell me what kind of "loyal supporter" Attorney General wakes up one day and recuses himself from the most high profile witch hunt in history - without even the courtesy of a SIMPLE PHONE CALL. I didn't know "Loyal Supporters" ™ made a practice of surprising their bosses in such a way.

Yes - for himself. In his very pro-Trump constituency, he risked NOTHING and gained everything by backing Trump.
We have seen nothing good from Sessions or his office in 6 months. At his best he's been hapless, worst he's been highly disloyal. The only thing we know for sure is that he's going after pot-smokers.
If the president doesn't have faith in him, he should leave. Soon.
That's what leads me to believe that the whole thing is just a staged charade ... with both Trump and Sessions playing roles in it.
AG is the governments lawyer. ..not the lawyer that is suppose to cover for a Potus like a personal lawyer

If Jeff Sessions AVOIDS investigating and prosecuting these individuals because he fears for his life, HE NEEDS TO GO ON NATIONAL TELEVISION AND FESS UP as to WHY he is doing NOTHING about the serious crimes committed by these individuals. Otherwise, HE NEEDS TO RESIGN NOW.
AMERICA IS WATCHING, AND WE DEMAND THESE CRIMINALS BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR CRIMES AGAINST AMERICA.

Does anyone think she'd be willing to fire Rosenstein and then fire Mueller? I think that's what would be necessary if Sessions were gone. If she became AG, I bet she'd have to be confirmed again. Federal judges nominated to a higher court have to be reconfirmed. I guess she could do it as acting AG, or after a recess appointment.
I suggest you go read that article. Its throwing sessions under the bus...even though sessions helped him when no one in DC really wanted to touch him. He declined to say whether he was going to fire sessions.
I don’t think he’s in the minority in thinking that Sessions recusal was a slap in the face of reason and that his continued refusal to bring DOJ attention to the sedition going on here by the opposition party and their media syncopaths.
Sessions screwed up. He either stops screwing up or he’s going to be out.
This President ran a show based on firing people. You think he’s balking on firing Sessions? He’s dragging it through the media so that it becomes old news before he even fires him.
No he doesn't. He didn't have a replacement for Comey when Comey was fired. Took weeks to name one, and weeks after that before sending the nomination to the Senate. The DoJ has what, 35,000 workers. Make it part of downsizing the division.

I don’t care what people call me. The way that Trump is treating Sessions is simply wrong. I will be ashamed if they discard him like garbage.
Mixed bag of response, I think. Some people think the public trashing is not well taken, others think Sessions deserves it for the reasons Trump gives.
Few people appear to know the history of "who knew what, when." Many work with fake history. As usual, positions are taken on uninformed and generally emotional foundation.

Whether the leak is true or not about tillerson you know he has to be watching this behavior

The way he recused himself was self serving selfishness. He had a hard job coming up and nixed that and is now making noise over low hanging fruit.
Sessions had his pick of jobs, he picked AG and then balked at the hard work ahead of him.
rump is damaging himself in the South and among evangelicals all over the US. Many, many people are very put off by this pubic humiliation and trashing of someone who was so instrumental in the Trump campaign, particularly on the immigration and trade issues. And the evangelicals are the type who will stay home if they've been really turned by a candidate's personal behavior.
And Trump is hurting himself among the senators and representatives, and among his own staff, and among good people they might want to hire for unfilled positions. This is not a good recruitment advertisement to attract more good people. If he'll do this to Sessions, he'll do it to anyone except family.
