Attorney General Jeff Sessions has taken a VERY weak position on Hillary Clinton crimes (where are E-mails & DNC server) & Intel leakers!
Problem is that the acting head of the FBI & the person in charge of the Hillary investigation, Andrew McCabe, got $700,000 from H for wife!

Yeah, the strategy IMHO is that since Sessions can’t actually do what’s needed or desired after the Russia recusal, Trump would like to replace him as he’s fed with the entire hoax.
Trump has decided replacing the AG probably during the August recess will be the means to see undone the Mueller investigation into every financial aspect of himself, his aides and family.
There’s no Russia collusion evidence. It would be leaked. The only leaks we’re seeing are the attempts at trying to intimidate others to turn on Trump re: Manaforte.
Trump has had enough. He’s playing chess here.
Sadly, I truly wish AG Sessions wasn’t placed in this box. He’s an honorable man and came out for Trump before any notable nationally elected official.
I am not surprised that he is pizzed at Sessions. If it wasn’t for that stupid a-hole needlessly recusing himself there would no special prosecutor with an unlimited staff, unlimited resources and no boundaries or time limit on investigating Trump’s life. Sessions turned the full power of the Justice Dept over to an Onagger holdover. I dont think people really appreciate how dangerous this situation is to the Trump admin. All because of Sessions. The fracking moron should resign in shame.
If Trump fires Sessions, Rosenstein will probably resign. And then what happens with Mueller? Trump is heading down the path of the Nixon Saturday night massacre.
U.S. Attorney General Elliot Richardson had appointed Cox in May, after promising the House Judiciary Committee that he would appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the events surrounding the break-in of the Democratic National Committee's offices at the Watergate Hotel in Washington, D.C., on June 17, 1972. The appointment was created as a career reserved position in the Justice department, meaning it came under the authority of the attorney general who could only remove the special prosecutor "for cause", e.g., gross improprieties or malfeasance in office. Richardson had, in his confirmation hearings before the U.S. Senate, promised not to use his authority to dismiss the Watergate special prosecutor, unless for cause.
When Cox issued a subpoena to Nixon, asking for copies of taped conversations recorded in the Oval Office, the president refused to comply. On Friday, October 19, 1973, Nixon offered what was later known as the Stennis Compromiseasking the infamously hard-of-hearing Senator John C. Stennis of Mississippi to review and summarize the tapes for the special prosecutor's office. Cox refused the compromise that same evening and it was believed that there would be a short rest in the legal maneuvering while government offices were closed for the weekend.
However, the following day (Saturday) Nixon ordered Attorney General Richardson to fire Cox. Richardson refused and resigned in protest. Nixon then ordered Deputy Attorney General William Ruckelshaus to fire Cox. Ruckelshaus also refused and resigned.
Nixon then ordered the Solicitor General of the United States, Robert Bork, as acting head of the Justice Department, to fire Cox. Both Richardson and Ruckelshaus had given personal assurances to Congressional oversight committees that they would not interfere, but Bork had not. Although Bork later claimed he believed Nixon's order to be valid and appropriate, he still considered resigning to avoid being "perceived as a man who did the President's bidding to save my job". Nevertheless, having been brought to the White House by limousine and sworn in as acting attorney general, Bork wrote the letter firing Cox and the Saturday Night Massacre was complete.

That’s not the way it’s done.
If he wants Jeff to resign, he simply tells him its time to go and then releases a public statement that he tried to talk Jeff out of leaving but wishes him well in his next endeavor.
Management doesn’t air its dirty laundry in public. Trump knows this well.

Maybe Trump is an honest guy and doesn’t want to BS the public with a bogus story. We have enough liars in Washington. We don’t need another one.
And what if he ALREADY did what you propose and Sessions said “no”? Then he’s faced with firing him (which would look bad) or publicly shaming him into resigning (which is seemingly what Trump is doing).
Agree. Trump is beating the grass to startle the snakes.
Even if Trump/Sessions have a secret game plan going, public statements will get a reaction from the Clintons and the swamp.
Perhaps they’re trying to smoke out something or someone?
But there are rules for managing an organization effectively and this kind of behavior would be damaging to any organization--business, government, or military.
If a man has something to say to another man, he says it to his face, not behind his back...and certainly not in public. Of course, Comey is the notable exception to this rule, but Comey was and is a skunk (no insult intended to actual skunks).
All that said, this is Trump, so who the hell knows what he's up to.;-)
Trump and Sessions have been friends for a long time and probably stay in very close contact. I have a hard time believing that Trump, who has a long history of manipulating the media, isn't just pulling another head fake here.
“I am not surprised that he is pizzed at Sessions. And PS, while the Justice Dept is now busy giving Trump a lifetime legal colonoscopy, NOTHING is being done to investigate the most corrupt criminal organization in the country, the DNC and the KKKlintons. HOW DOES THIS FREAKING HAPPEN! Trump wins and HE is the one getting investigated?
The removal of Sessions will set off a chain of events that will hurt Trump severely. The firing of Comey is what set off the appointment of a Special Counsel. Trump made some unfortunate remarks to Lester Holt that appeared to make the firing linked to the ongoing FBI Russia investigation. It made it appear that the firing could be seen as an obstruction of justice. And the DJT Junior meeting with the Russian lawyer added to the fire.
The appointment of Rosenstein may have been Sessions biggest mistake, not the recusal. It is worth remembering that Trump interviewed Mueller for the FBI job.
Times have changed, and if the Democrats and Swamp want to get into a fistfight with the President of the United States, we'll see where the loyalty of the People lies...
Comey was asked about this by Congress
His reply was, “oh yeah, we found lots of violations of the law, but it was just like the Hillary Clinton , no criminal intent and no mens rea so we could not prosecute”
The DOJ is not supposed to comment on ongoing investigations or even disclose their existence. Who is to say that such investigations are not being conducted?
Absolutely. I agree with you, and as I said, I'm not defending the public attack. It has demonstrably created heartburn for many Trump supporters, many of them good people in the administration. It created heartburn for me, to the extent that if Trump REALLY feels that way, then Trump has lost my trust. Not lost my support, lost my trust. GWB did that (lost my trust) when he nominated Harriet Miers. For me, GWB turned hollow at that moment.
-- All that said, this is Trump, so who the hell knows what he's up to.;-) --
Yep. Maybe in the end this "major anti-Sessions takedown" will be forgiven, maybe celebrated. We are not in conventional times.
That’s a huge load of hogwash. Any other appointee would have those same credits to his name WITHOUT the massive and steadily growing negatives Sessions carries about.
Sessions isn’t even a good person; he’s a straight-up thief, as evidenced by his passion for “forfeiture”.
Time to wrap your head around the increasingly-indisputable reality that Sessions is part of the swamp too.
You may be correct of course, but consider what we just heard from Rudy Giuliani (who is good friends with Sessions and Trump and speaks with them both regularly).
When just this week, the press breathless reported that Rudy might be selected by Trump as AG, Rudy came out with a statement that, no, he was not being considered for the position as AG AND that he, Rudy, thought Jeff had done the right thing in recusing himself from the Clinton matter.
To me, this all looks like a chess move.
Rumblings come out of the WH about Jeff being fired and replaced by Rudy, and then, after a pause, Rudy (in constant contact with Trump and Sessions), shoots down that rumor and adds his support to Sessions and his decision to recuse.
Looks an awful lot like a head fake to me.
Something is going on here. Trump is a strategic thinker...he just plays the fool, village idiot to foil and deceive his enemies. Trump does not need Jeff Sessions or Ron Rosenstein to take down Special Council, Robert Mueller.....Mueller has already self-imploded in the same fashion as the Democrat Party has self-inflicted its own political destruction!!! Neither Mueller or the Democrat Party have sharp teeth in their mouth or, MoJo in their tummies!!!
Trump has another game afoot. Stay tuned, because I believe in involves the Democrats, the Republican Establishment, the Media, Hillary Clinton, Barack Hussein Obama and the Bob Mueller. low life, liberal, traitor scum & vermin lawyers he has hired.
I always liked Sessions. That said, there is something “off” with him. We need to understand that we do not know the inside goings on between Trump and Sessions.
I always felt that a good way to counter this Russia BS was to put the RATs and the media on defense by bringing charges against the multitude of RAT crimes in the O admin.
Why did Sessions go after drugs and gangs instead? Other people at Justice could have done this.
We need to understand that without Trump in place none of what we want will ever happen again.
This is it folks, we win or the country will fail.
The removal of Sessions will set off a chain of events that will hurt Trump severely.
—
I disagree. If he fires Sessions and puts in someone who will actually go after the RAT criminals from the previous administration, Trump’s approval rating will go through the roof (except among Democrats, who will be on suicide watch).
