In hindsight, Sessions has been a disaster.
Sessions WAS solid, ethical, charismatic.
Now..?
An old, washed-up BUM who clutched at the worst time.
He’s John Edwards, but grey.
I LOVED HIM.
Now he means NOTHING to me.
OUT WITH A WHIMPER.
Sessions is a terrible Attorney General, and must go.
He flat out refuses to go after the real criminals: Hillary, Obama, Rice, Brennan, Clapper, Lynch, Holder, Podesta, and their goons.
Sessions talks about revitalizing the D.A.R.E program, like he is running for First Lady.
He talks about gangs, drugs, the weather - ANYTHING to change the subject so that he doesn't have to do the job he swore an oath to do: uphold justice and hold those who break the law into account, including traitors, thieves, and murderers.
Just leave Jeff. Now. Do it.
Sessions accepted the nomination KNOWING he was going to ‘Recuse’ himself on Russian. That was Devious, unethical behavior.
But what a weak BUM..!
Something big is coming down the pike. This is to get the chattering classes all worked up and to talk about Sessions non-stop. Behind the scenes though, some bombs are about to drop.
President Trump does nothing to make a strong case for himself and his administration when he conducts an interview and makes a statement like this to a newspaper that he has so thoroughly belittled as a “fake news” outlet for months.
Trump is just jerking the NYTimes’ chain.
It’s the media’s fault that a Special Counsel was appointed, not Sessions’.
About time.
I have been hoping for awhile that there was all kinds of “stuff” going on and that soon we’d be hearing about arrests. I had visions of Clinton/Obama and the rest of the criminals high tailing it out of the country as fast as possible. I don’t know how long this would take, but I lose hope as time goes by and MAJOR issues are no longer discussed.....unmasking names, Clinton Cash, uranium deals with Russia, spying, on and on. Nothing. Ever. Happens.
Another person I’d like to have an update on because I don’t feel anything is going on is Dr. Carson. I really like him - has he managed to implement anything earth shattering for the less fortunate in the black neighborhoods?
Replace him with, let’s see,.... Mueller! D.C. would go nuckin’ futs!
Sessions is without a doubt Trump’s biggest mistake. An absolute disaster.
Not telling the President you were going to ‘Recuse” yourself, over an issue that would Plague the President for years , was Cowardly, Unethical and straight up devious. Fire him!
Trump should not have given an interview to the Times. And he is wrong on Sessions. When he took the job, he had no idea he was going to have to recuse himself. Behind the scenes, Sessions is doing great work on getting rid of MS-13. At least cut him some slack for a little while.
Who did not see this coming? Sessions was a respectable Senator, who had solid conservative creds. However, I do not remember him as being a fighter, feisty, or controversial. He was not known to stand up to the the establishment, but seemed to get along with GOPe leadership.
It should have been predictable that he would follow such a gentle approach as AG. I guess the appointment was a political reward for a very crucial southern endorsement for Trump during the elections, and not to put a strong fighter that Trump need in that role.
Not so subtle message to Sessions: “Time to go, we have work to do and you aren’t up to the tasks ahead.” Subtext: “Please go on your own, I don’t need the kind of BS firing you would bring to me!”
I’m not sure what should be read into this. But I believe he is glad to have Sessions on board. There’s a piece missing here.
From wikipedia
He was born in Selma, Alabama, on December 24, 1946,[1] the son of Jefferson Beauregard Sessions, Jr., and the former Abbie Powe.[2] He was named after his father, who was named after his grandfather, who was named after Jefferson Davis, the president of the Confederate States of America,[3] and P. G. T. Beauregard, the Confederate general who oversaw the bombardment of Fort Sumter, starting the American Civil War.
So the ultimate redneck Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III had two choices. Support Donald J Trump, the ultimate YANKEE or choose the cushy swamp that he's been living in for 20 years. Hmmm, what's a good ole boy of the grand ole party to do????
Wow!
Why on earth would Trump do an interview for the NYT????
