Former Soviet Counter Intelligence Officer at Meeting With Donald Trump Jr. and Russian Lawyer

(Currently Breaking News On NBC)

WASHINGTON — The Russian lawyer who met with the Trump team after a promise of compromising material on Hillary Clinton was accompanied by a Russian-American lobbyist — a former Soviet counter intelligence officer who is suspected by some U.S. officials of having ongoing ties to Russian intelligence, NBC News has learned.

NBC News is not naming the lobbyist, who denies any current ties to Russian spy agencies. He accompanied the lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya, to the June 2016 meeting at Trump Tower attended by Donald Trump Jr., Jared Kushner and Paul Manafort.

The Russian-born American lobbyist served in the Soviet military and emigrated to the U.S., where he holds dual citizenship.

Veselnitskaya acknowledged to NBC News that she was accompanied by at least one other man, though she declined to identify him.

The presence at the meeting of a Russian-American with suspected intelligence ties is likely to be of interest to special counsel Robert Mueller and the House and Senate panels investigating the Russian election interference campaign.

Contacted by NBC News, representatives for Kushner and Manafort declined to comment. A lawyer for Trump Jr. did not respond to multiple requests for comment.

Veselnitskaya, in an exclusive interview with NBC News, denied having any connection to the Kremlin and insisted the meeting was to discuss sanctions, not the presidential campaign.

It's Kushner who went through vetting and had to revise his forms because of "omissions".

There were no omissions. The form requires reporting "close or continuing" foreign contacts. This meeting doesn't qualify for reporting by any stretch.

It is possible someone told Kushner to report it in a roundabout attempt to sink Kushner or out of ignorance. But the meeting certainly would never be reported. Having several meetings would make the threshold for reporting.

My theory is that he absolutely remembered that he met with russians but perhaps his ethics lawyer...gorelick. .told him he didnt need to report it.

Close, but you need to tweak that theory. Kushner did not need to report the meeting. The SF-86 asks for "close or continuing" contacts. The single meeting definitely did not qualify for reporting. But Gorelick could have told him to report it to add ammo to the media collusion story. She would pretend it was her lawyerly duty, but in reality she is not on our side.

I already replied it may not have been on Hannity. But he never disclosed the additional person (now possibly people) in any interview or correspondence.

Do tell. What does a counter intelligence office do?

I believe in the long run a lot of Trump folks will be the whiners.

The only damn thing that matters is that Rinat Akhmetshin is a Fusion GPs Opposition worker hired by Hillary’s DNC to get dirt on Trump. Some people in this forum are either willfully ignorant of this or are pushing the Democrat narrative of a “Russian Agent” or “Why didn’t Donald mention him”.

” Also why did Jr only mention a person instead of people in his release on Saturday?”

You are one pushing this “Why Didn’t he mention him” Bullshit. How about focusing on who he is ( FUSION GP ) and what he was hired to do ( Get dirt on Trump).

Donald Trump Jr. should just say he is a Journalist and the Russian Woman is Deep Throat.

Journalists can do anything and plead the First Amendment.

Being given Classified Material and publishing it, no problem.

Leaking information from unnamed Sources, no problem.

Ignoring what a person they Politically support does but going after their Opponent with made up gossip, no problem.

They are Gods. Just ask them.

If you want to see some REAL FACTS about Democrats “colluding” with the Soviets/KGB, go to www.keywiki.org, search for “Edward Kennedy” page and hold on to your hats.

There is much more about Kennedy, Harkin, and other Democrats supporting Communist fronts and causes, esp. in Latin America, in the books cited - “The Revolution Lobby” and “The Real Secret War: Sandinista Political Warfare and its Effects on Congress”, plus the works of Prof. Paul Kengor (on Reagan - has the Kennedy-Moscow collusion document), and the books of Klehr/Haynes, Romerstein/Brindell and M. Stanton Evans, among others.

For those of you familiar with the Special Committee on Un-American Activities (SPCUA) from about 1934-44, and their famous (published but never officially released, destroyed in effort but not in fact), APPENDIX IX, you’ll find dozens or scores of Democrat congressmen who sponsored and/or participated in Communist Party USA fronts and causes.
Some of these congressmen were covert CPUSA members including NKVD paid agent Samuel Dickstein (”The Haunted Wood”, Alan Weinstein), Lundin, Hawkins, Coffee, etc.

Democrats collusion with the Soviet dictatorship and its intelligence arms has been ongoing since at least the 1930’s, if not earlier. This includes David Simon Canter of Chicago, a key political kingpin maker (i.e. Rep. Harold Washington to Mayor of Chicago), an early supporter of David Axelrod’s journalism career, an identified member of the CPUSA and importer of Soviet propaganda under the guise of promoting Soviet literature (he refused to register as an agent of a foreign power as required by law), and according to his son Marc, “knew Obama”.

The can of red worms and the Democrats is actually the size of a 55 gallon drum. The only question is whether Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich), one of the top Soviet supporters and CPUSA supporters in the history of Congress, was able to destroy any files of the old House Committee on Un-American Activities/House Internal Security Committee. A key document on one longtime CPUSA supporter and probable KGB operative is “missing” from them (or they just don’t know where to look since the one archivist who could have found it, retired and then passed away).

There is so much more to Soviet operations in the U.S. than you can imagine. Only two Senate Internal Security Subcommittee hearings/publications/reports, “Scope of Soviet Activity in the United States, 1956-57, ran to over 90 volumes, including information on Frank Marshall Davis/Hawaiian Communist Party operations, and “Strategy and Tactics of World Communism”, 1954-56, ran 17 volumes, and this was just the larger hearings/publications back in the 50’s.

Soviet operations in the US that had Democrats, esp. politicians “colluding” with them involved the “Hanoi Lobby”, the Anti-Defense Lobby”, the “Castro Lobby”, the “Sandinista Lobby”, and “CISPES” (CPUSA, CP of El Salvador, Communist Cuba), and miscellaneous fronts on Grenada, Iran (anti-Shah), support for the PLO (Conyers, again), etc.

It is time that the Trump Administration cut out the crap of holding wimpy congressional hearings and either set up a new and powerful House/Senate Internal Security Committee with a hardhitting agenda of exposure of communist/Iranian/other extremists influence in the US, or set up a Special Commission On Internal Security with real powers to do the same.

Our Congress so far is just swatting at the problems with a fly swatter instead of an A-10 Warthog squadron.

Cowardice and timidity will get you subverted or killed.

All I know is, under the exact same circumstances if this were President Clinton instead of President Trump and replace Trump, Jr., Manafort and Cushner with Chelsea, Podesta and Chelsea’s husband, this site would be on fire. With everything and every circumstance the same.

Objectivity is not something that we can afford anymore. We have to all be as partisan as possible. The gloves are off. The next stop is Civil War II.

The Soviets had an agent placed closed to Kennedy during the Carter administration, whom I argued was most likely John Tunney. Of course we could trace Soviet infiltration of the U.S. political system all the way back to the Wilson administration. But to pick up the trail more recently, we have Bill Clinton's 1969-1970 trip to Moscow, where he followed in the footsteps of his Oxford roommate Strobe Talbott, who had been translating memoirs of former Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev leaked to him by KGB disinformation agent and talent spotter Victor Louis--in other words, Clinton's college roommate was in contact with the KGB at the time Bill was rooming with him. In Moscow, Clinton had dinner with his friend Anik “Nikki” Alexis at the Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University, a KGB training ground famed for turning out alumni such as the terrorist Carlos the Jackal. After returning to the U.S., Clinton met Hillary Rodham, whose work on Yale Law Review at that time brought her into contact with Robert Borosage of the Soviet-connected Institute for Policy Studies, who was busy publishing attacks on the U.S. intelligence community in collaboration with people such as Victor Marchetti and Philip Agee. Bill join Hillary in San Francisco in summer 1971 when she was interning for former California CP attorneys Robert Treuhaft and Jessica Mitford, with whom they renewed contact in Arkansas in the late 70s and later in their White House years. The Clintons staffed many of their old New Left friends in their administration when they arrived in Washington. . .And then we have Obama's various Soviet connections, centered around his parents, Frank Marshall Davis, and Valerie Jarrett.

I agree with most of what you wrote but have a few caveats.

Tunney was the stupidest senator in Congress ever, but is being chased by Sen. Tim Kaine and Mark Warner, both of Virginia. He was Kennedy’s delivery boy to the Kremlin. Whether he was actually a Soviet asset is another question. They didn’t need him to work for them. His stupidity did it for them for free.

I thought that one of Bill Clinton’s roommates was the son of a Czech STB agent, though Talbott has been the target of a lot of speculation as to whether, he too, was a Soviet sympathizer or asset.

Good information of Borosage, not only for his leadership of the IPS (funded, in significant part, by Samuel Rubin/Foundation/Cora and Peter Weiss. Rubin was a Communist Party “voter” in 1936 and possibly the 1938/40 elections. Definitely a Soviet asset during the Spanish Civil War.

Borosage also became a key leader in Soros’ Open Society Institute along with fellow anti-intelligence leftist Morton Halperin.

The fact that Hillary had contacts with him at Yale is very important. Also we need to know if her law professors included identified CPUSA member Thomas I. Emerson.

Re Hillary’s internship with the Communist law firm in California. It consisted of Robert Treuhaft (his wife, CP member Jessica Mitford, the writer, was not, to my knowledge, an attorney); Charles R. Gary, the CP’s West Coast counterpart of William Kunstler (Kunstler told us that in 1969 re the Oakland 7 case); Mal Burstein, another CPer; I think it was Ginger Ann Fagan, another CP lawyer, and one other male.

They were the Left’s counterpart firm on the West Coast to the heavily CP/supporters firm of “Kunster; Kunstler (Mike who died young); Arthur Kinoy, a leading CP-affiliated attorney who later tried to form his own Marxist group out of NCIPA; Phi Hirschkopf (for a while; a man who became increasingly hostile to a lot of people); Morton Stavis, id. CPUSA; and Peter Weiss, husband of Cora Weiss, Women Strike for Peace/New Mobe/COLIFAM of the Hanoi Lobby leaders - she would be a natural candidate for a Soviet agent of influence given her CPUSA fronts, Hanoi, UN, Riverside Church Disarmament connections and positions.

Obama’s connections to Frank Marshall Davis, who operated at the request of two Soviet assets, id. CPer Paul Robeson and Australian Communist, id. CPUSA member Harry Bridges, covered the Obama family history and connections to Chicago, Kansas, Washington State and Hawaii.

The Jarretts had the Chicago CP connections as well as Chicago political connections in the black community (Boardmans?, Palmers, Despres, the DuSable Museum, etc) as well as the old established Soviet/CPUSA ring around David Simon Canter (his late father Henry, a Stalin employee in Russia), Canter’s import business partner id. CPUSAer Leroy Wolins (handled veterans fronts for the CP and was credited with the idea for the creation of Vietnam Veterans Against the War in Vietnam), was the National Mobe/New Mobe veterans leader; the suggester of the stamp honoring Paul Robeson, and Don Rose, an admitted old time leftist of the Henry Wallace campaign and the American Labor Party, as well as the CP’s Chicago Committee to Defend the Bill of Rights.

The web of subversion runs deep within the Bill and Hillary Clinton early connections, the Obamas connections through families, friends, neighbors and organizational ties, and the established communist structures in Chicago, and later “New Left” connections for Obama at several colleges and then with Marxist Saul Alinsky’s organization as a community organizer.

There is so much more to be learned about the communist connections of all of them, esp. during the “missing years” re their autobiographies and publicity sheets.

Tommie the Commie--yes, she took his class, per Brock's Hillary biography, which quotes Donnie Radcliffe's Hillary bio and interviews with Hillary's classmates. Their class attended the Black Panthers' court cases, both as independent studies and extracurricularly to help Emerson's efforts to assist the ACLU. The class felt they were being monitored by the FBI and Emerson filed a FOIA suit to see who was being photographed (so there should be a file on this). Treuhaft said in an interview that he believed Emerson is the one who told Hillary about the open position at his firm; Charles Garry also knew Treuhaft.

It would be a blessing if Mueller charges someone for collusion, under the assumption that they played a role in “hacking” the DNC server. Trump’s team would subpoena the server as evidence. If they destroy it or prevent it from being examined, Mueller won’t be able to charge anyone. All defendants get access to evidence in a criminal trial. In short, he can never try someone without revealing that it was never hacked by the Russians.

It isn’t illegal to have a meeting with foreigners who claim to have information validating Hillary’s ties to Russia.

Isn’t that what the other side is seeking about Trump?

Its just the new McCarthyism.

Propaganda works if you think there was nothing to what McCarthy was trying to fix. All McCarthy wanted to know is why all the Communists that the House UnAmerican Activities Committee had identified as Communists in the Government were still working for the Government.

Hollywood Communists destroyed him with the help of all the Communists FDR installed in our government.
