Henry Bello, 45 — who resigned amid a sexual-harassment scandal — fatally shot a physician and wounded six other people with an assault rifle before killing himself, officials said.
“When he left he promised to come back and shoot one of the residents,” Dr. Maureen Kwankam told The Post about Bello.
“He said the resident will never graduate and become a doctor because he will kill him before he has the opportunity.”
Before he was canned, the deranged doc had threatened to harm at least four other people working at the hospital, Kwankam said.
He also called the resident once on the phone saying, “I’m gonna kill you,” sources said.
The resident, his intended target, was not working Friday.
Bello entered the hospital’s 16th floor looking for the resident when one physician noticed the AR-15 sticking out of his lab coat.
The doctor immediately started to run while screaming “Gun!” according to law-enforcement sources.
The gunman proceeded to shoot six people — three doctors, two med students and one patient — on the 16th floor. He then headed up one flight, where he fatally shot a 33-year-old doctor, the sources said.

Curious about the $400,000 he claims he paid to get the training.
Some of these ‘new and improved’ Obama-Care doctors are lively individuals.
This particular curiosity is a sparkling example.
He snatched up a woman for sex and imprisoned her, was arrested for it, and now he goes to this hospital not only with a gun [killing one and injuring many] but also with gasoline to set the nurses’ section on fire [but the sprinkler system put a damper on that].
Did he break out of jail or something? How did he escape? Don’t tell me they released him?
He then barricaded himself in a room and used the AR-15 rifle to kill himself before crawling out to a hallway where police also found the doctor’s body nearby.

The article says it was sent the same day, just a couple of hours before the shooting. Presumably it had yet to arrive.

On what grounds? People don’t get hauled in for mental health checks.
Was he on a former doctor’s list? Or a current member of the team list?

How was this guy admitted to Medical school in the first place (so many years ago)???
Not unusual to incur that type of dept.
Young friends of mine, both doctors, each have $300,000 in school debt. Plus- they bought a home and have young children. Big debt. Needless to say they are stressed.
He has that John Wayne Gacy stare.
Evidently the hospital didn’t feel the need to do a background check on this guy before he was hired even though it is SOP for a hospital.
But he claims the hospital took money from him. Very different. If true, something is fishy here.
That is understandable. The ones that can do something about it are not the ones being threatened. Never forget, the Powers That Be have a high tolerance for our pain. But that is the way it goes.
