Last time I was in London, I went to a “Italian” place to eat. I love Italian.

They brought my food to me and in it was a cracker wrapper. I sent it back and left. The place was run by a bunch of diaper heads.

Italian my ass. I went and bought a bag of “crisps” as they call chips over there, and had them. Had the taxi driver take me to a good place the next morn and had me a good meal at a place run by Brits....Brits not Pakis.

there was an article here on FR not long ago where a restaurant owner, muslim, was busted for health reasons for not using toilet paper and then cooking with filthy hands- I refuse to eat at any business run by people from middle east as a result of that article now- or Indian business either- i think he was an indian muslim- if i recall right- and he’d been here a nubmer of years- think of how many peopel ate his crap- nope- no thanks- plus all the reports of imigrants crapping all over hte streets, all over showers and restrooms instead of in toilets- not usign toilet paper- smearign their crap all over the walls etc- Europe even isntalled bathrooms for the migrants and they refused to use them correctly-

Ice machines require regular cleaning or they can get gnarly - when you enter a restaurant, ask to see the kitchen. If they refuse, leave.

This is one of those issues where I am a little bit disappointed in Trump. Surely he knows these stories, or someone close to him knows. I mean sanitation and immigration is not a new issue. This sounds rather strange to me.

Think about it. Water goes into a pipe into the machine. The ice taken out of the machine is take out with a scoop.

What would the source be? Three locations across three chains have the same sort of problem?

This needs more explanation before I can buy in.

If this is a naturally occurring bacteria, not associated with fecal contamination, then this headline is very misleading.

If it’s a naturally occurring bacteria, we’ve probably all been exposed to it over our lifetime, as we drank cold iced drinks.

I don’t care for the way media presents information these days. It’s not to inform. It’s to sensationalize, to grab attention, scare people. In this instance it may be unfair to sensationalize the issue that may be not all that uncommon.

If three places had this problem, there’s something they aren’t telling us, like this is not all that unusual.

Something I'm sure every parent tells their kids. That's what I tell the grandchildren. When they're over and I toss food scraps into my compost bin and turn it, they marvel over the hundreds of earthworms present, and they love to touch and handle them. I make them wash their hands right after that. One granddaughter proudly takes care of an earthworm in a container in her room. Poopy compost dirt is great for plants.
