In a transparent attempt at blame-shifting, former Obama spokesman Josh Earnest has tried to place responsibility for President Obama’s failure to respond effectively to Russian meddling in the election . . . on Republicans.
It’s been reported that Obama was paralyzed into inaction by fears of seeming to help Hillary during the campaign. Appearing on today’s Morning Joe, Earnest said:
“The first time, [McConnell] didn’t have time to schedule time to talk about it. This is something that Republicans did not take seriously, and that did hamstring our efforts to respond to this as effectively as we would have liked.”

Ernst’s glibness was nauseating.
As with anything associated with Obama, including him.
I got tired of his lies in 2008. I switched channels and avoided listening to his lies about 98% of the time.

Apparently the system used to catalog emails - searchable by an email address.
My guess is, this is what was used against KimDotCom - I don’t know the specifics, but probably copyright infringement.
They probably had 7 years of emails on him.
So, they have 7 years of emails on Hillary.
No doubt they’ve been grabbing stuff since 9/11 for data-mining. That day altered the game forever.
So Hillary’s emails WILL be there - unless some operative destroyed them. And if the system was built correctly, there will be evidence of who did that. And it should be a 40+-year-prison term with no chance of parole.

Not sure why this information isn’t readily available to the public.
The whole government needs to have its books in the open. If the books are open, democracy can work — especially in the day of social media.
Hopefully this is one of the things the Trump administration will change.

Well at least Josh Earnest is consistent, he continues to lie. His “paralyzed into inaction by fears of seeming to help Hillary during the campaign” is funny on its face. I guess when Obama went out and campaigned for Hillary, that wasn’t trying to help her. What a idiot Earnest is.
The problem with Obama’s “leading from behind” is all the stories you have to make up to cover the fact that you failed to take effective action when it would have mattered. Examples would be the Syria red line, the Bengazi video, and now this Russia story. Of course lying when the issue is first raised makes the stories you invent later even more ridiculous.
Too bad for Obama and the US that Obama detested Churchill. Churchill explained how Neville Chamberlain’s leading from behind against the Nazis worked out. By failing to take action when small efforts could have been effective, the British had to fight a war for survival.

I still wonder what this was really all about.
I was an I/T auditor for a bit. Found some guy had messed with my privileges while I was out at lunch. I was on him in less than 15 minutes from returning to lunch. I knew right where to go to find out who did it on that particular IBM machine. Saved the evidence, grabbed the audit Senior Partner and we confronted him. And that led us to his boss.....

Yes, we were checking out a sub-contractor for a very large credit card company out of New York.
You would know who they were (at that time) but I won’t name them publicly or privately. Even though that particular engagement was 20+ years ago.
We were lined up outside the sub-contractor’s door at 6 or 7 a.m. after the credit card company engaged us to do the audit.
