SOLANO COUNTY, Calif. (KTVU) - Two East Bay men are being hailed as heroes for helping save a female CHP officer who was being assaulted by a driver along a freeway shoulder in Solano County over the weekend.
Witnesses say the driver was beating the officer along Interstate 80 westbound in American Canyon when a 61-year-old former linebacker, former cop and Greg Bunting, a 52-year-old motorcycle mechanic, jumped in to help.
The incident happened around 8:30 Saturday morning.
Witnesses say the suspect was actually reaching for the officers's gun when the two men, strangers to each other, came to the officer's aid.

There is no woman who can overpower a man in a physical confrontation. That's just physical fact. Women as LEO's on deserted roads in the middle of the night are just plain nuts. Tasers and Mace can help in such situations, but you have to be ready, and fast. This lady LEO obviously was neither.
Were we not living in a time of rampant lawlessness, and worse still, active violence towards LEO's, this wouldn't perhaps be so problematic an issue. But we are, and it is.

Women firefighters have always been a problem for me.
Here in Minneapolis they even softened the requirements for the females in the name of “fairness” because they weren’t passing the test in sufficient numbers.

You haven't spent enough time in rural areas. I have met plenty of women who could overpower 95% of the male population. A few years ago one of them overpowered a bear in her house that was fighting with her husband. And she was over 65.
I agree completely, guess I’m old school too. I miss the old school ways. (I miss men wearing suits and women wearing dresses all the time, just love the way that looks in old movies, that’s how old school I am.) But women police and combat are deadly serious and as someone down thread said, they put men’s lives in danger because of being stubborn about that.
I think women see these glamorous TV cops/detectives beating bad guys up, doing kick boxing and flipping them over, and think it is real life.

Male cops can fight. Watch videos of cops fighting when male and female cops are present. The males jump right in, the females flitter around the edges trying to look helpful. Its the same every time.
