You haven't spent enough time in rural areas. I have met plenty of women who could overpower 95% of the male population. A few years ago one of them overpowered a bear in her house that was fighting with her husband. And she was over 65.

I agree, and would like to re-state my original faulty claim... I happen to have known a few women who could definitely stomp other certain guys I have known. I don't think, however, these rare exceptions should be allowed to taint the rule, which prevails in the vast majority of such mano~a~fembo confrontations.

Still laughing at the mental image. Holy crap. Apparently since it was on the woman's home turf, there is some part of the ursine brain that recognizes territorial rage/dominance, and acknowledges its higher place in the pecking order.

How else does a bear not shred her like so much papier mâché? Was it a bear cub?
