Report: Trump Under Investigation For Obstruction Of Justice

The special counsel investigating Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election is investigating President Donald Trump for obstruction of justice, the Washington Post reports.

The Post, citing two unnamed sources, says special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe expanded to include the president just days after he dismissed former FBI Director James Comey. The source, billed as familiar with Mueller’s thinking, says the special counsel currently views the matter as a “he said-he said” situation.

Marc Kasowitz, the president’s personal counsel, denounced this latest leak.

Nobody is paralyzed. All of this nonsense is simply put out there as a distraction while the Republicans in the House and Senate do their best to legislate behind the scenes.

Do you think it's a coincidence that the House passed a Dodd-Frank repeal bill on the same day that Comey was testifying before the Senate?

Something that a lot of folks here seem to be overlooking is that Trump wanted Comey to investigate him so he could be vindicated of these charges. Comey gave him some legitimate reasons why that might not be a good idea, but I'm sure that thought never left Trump's mind. Why wouldn't Trump want to have the same investigation by Mueller?

This is why you don’t want a special investigator. It becomes a comprehensive fishing expedition, ending in indictments that have nothing — NOTHING — to do with the original excuse for the special investigator.

There was not a single iota of evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

There was never a logical reason to NEED a special prosecutor in the absence of ANY EVIDENCE whatsoever.
