Sky News reporter said one resident said he thought it began in an apt close to him, possibly an appliance exploded.

[Will be a lot of conjecture until fire investigators are able to get in.]

Reporter also indicated that imploding and collapse of the building or floors may be imminent.

Yup, all of that. I never saw so many fire doors, extinguishers and sprinklers in buildings. Yet, they keep their buildings so hot in their mild winters you nearly choke.

I noted in the early pictures that only one whole side of the building was engaged in fire. Almost looked like a fire escape on fire from top to bottom all at once. I’m not saying, I’m just saying.

Witness says his neighbor on the 4th floor said the fire started in his flat. He says his refrigerator exploded.

I saw what looked like two bodies coming down left side of screen. Turned to CNN and they said people had jumped out windows. Sad if true.

This has to be terrorism. Fire can break out on a floor or a few floors. It will not engulf 22 floors without ‘help’. The terrorists are getting more inventive.

Looks like that's right. A Muslim reporter on site just told the Sky News anchor that witnesses say that a lot of the residences were already awake to eat after their daily fast because of Ramadan. One person said he thinks the fire started in his neighbor's apartment because there was an explosion and his neighbor came to the door to warn him to leave quickly.

and lots and lots of foamboard sheeting that is “fire retardant” but not fire proof. Solid gasoline is appropriate in many cases.

I wouldn’t live in a building like that unless I had provided a way for me to leave the building out my window or one down the hall.

I’d have as much rope as I would need, and I’d practice rappelling.
