This morning, MSM was in an uproar over alleged restrictions on reporters who wonder the halls of the Capital looking for interviews. Journalist Kasie Hunt was quick to express her outrage on Twitter in a string of rambling Tweets:

First I've heard of Kasie Hunt since Gary Johnson imploded.

If they’d bathe and wipe their a$$ every once in a while they wouldn’t smell so bad and it might be different.

My wife worked in a Governors office in department of media. There is a press row where offices file their stories. The press does wander the halls looking for information. I know this because at the Governors offices, my wife was approached with me in attendance as a reporter asked her a question about one of the Governor’s statements.

And anyone who writes for a living should understand the difference between ‘capital’ and ‘capitol.’
To: FirstFlaBn
The capitol is where the capital is.

Congratulations. Exacly backwards. The CAPITAL (which is a city) is where the CAPITOL (which is a building) is.
Not all capitals have capitols, of course.

Generally. Not a requirement, however. Any building, of any shape, can be designated the ‘capitol’ if a goobermint so wishes.
