A new and exclusive report by The Daily Caller – Neither Obama nor any member of his cabinet warned state election officials of any Russian effort to hack or interfere with the country’s electoral systems, according to the president of the National Association of Secretaries of State.

“We did ask,” Denise Merrill, Connecticut secretary of state and the association’s top official, told The Daily Caller News Foundation’s Investigative Group Wednesday.
“And over-and-over again, they did say there was no credible threat that they had found. And they said that right through the election, and the next administration reiterated that. Over and over again when we asked, we were told there was no actual threat that they knew of,” Merrill said.
Asked if there were any private briefings for state election officials on possible Russian interference prior to the November 2016 voting, Merrill said, “No. We were not briefed on any of that. We were not told in advance.”
Merrill also claimed the administration failed to take state officials aside about a potential or real Russian threat to election machinery.
“That’s right because I don’t really think there was one,” she said.

Maybe that’s because there was no Russian election hacking, but Obama administration’s own attempt to hack election and frame Russia as cover up in case Trump won?

I remember DHS hacked into Georgia’s voter rolls. The Georgia election people wrote DHS asking for an explanation, but I don’t recall that they got any response.
Or because Obama knew the hacking was intended to help the Democrats.
I wonder if any Republican will ask Comey if he notified any state election overseers that the Russians were trying to interfere in the election, since he was supposed to be investigating that very thing.
This entire conversation s made possible by intentionally sloppy language by the Left.
Hacking an election? That would mean electronically changing vote tallies to affect outcomes. Russia didn’t do that. Everyone — EVERYONE — agrees with that.
Hacking an election? WikiLeaks told people the truthg about Hillary’s emails. Was Russia involved in WikiLeaks? Probably not. But the Left likes to be concerned about that possibility.
But is that second definition (”telling the truth”) synonymous with “hacking an election”?

The reason they didn’t reveal it was because the Ruskies were supposed to be on Team Rat! Hillary was their chosen one. Of course they wouldn’t reveal the Russian hack. However - once Donald won they had to change their game and turn it around!! The Rats and Ruskies are on the same team - They both wanted Hillary!!

Shortly before the election, there was some talk about a hacking program that could be masked to look like it was done by the Russians. Hmmmm.....

The boot of the russians by obama has an interesting timeline. Schindler claims it is well known those were spying facilities and that IC has wanted to get rid of them for years.

Maybe obama was sure the Russians were working to get Hillary elected, personally I think that was the case and when that failed they then tried to turned it on Trump.
Whatever the case may be the Dems over many years weaved a tangled web and it is collapsing on them, now we must continue to get to the bottom of this as the Dems like to say; so there should be no breathing room they need to suffocate in there own deceit. When the Dominoes begin to fall it will be the greatest show ever.
Does anyone else remember the pre-election story that OUR government was caught trying to hack the Georgia voting apparatus? This was never mentioned again. Why not?

Tucker had a D congressman on last night and Tucker backed him into a corner where he said that the only hacking was “Russian trolls” who lied on the internet and people believed them. So, he said that we need “reforms” to stop that. Tucker asked for details of the reforms: ban trolls, ban Russians, keep citizens from reading the Internet?
Pretty sure Russia wanted HILLARY to WIN since they had a TON of INFO on her to Blackmail her with!
I know that the term “hacking” fits into the Dem narrative, which is why they probably continue to use it with such alacrity, but as an IT professional I truly wish they would use the correct term “phishing” as this is what, most likely, occurred.
Certain officials were targeted in an attack known as “spear phishing” where emails were sent to them that had a clickable link to a bogus site and UID/PW combos were collected, leading to a compromise in email accounts. NOTHING more can be extricated from this situation. Email chains were collected and analyzed for whatever the attacker wanted/needed.
The general populace is too ill-informed to know the difference and the majority believe that Russian operatives were directly linked to voting machines. Nothing further from the truth could be witnessed as to the insanity the left is showing.
