Dennis Prager reads from a Reason.com piece entitled, "White-Owned Restaurants Shamed for Serving Ethnic Food: It's Cultural Appropriation" (http://tinyurl.com/kctngut). It is another sick story of the Segregationist [racist] spirit of the Left that has been with the Democrat Party since they were founded. Here is an excerpt from the piece: ________________ If you're a white person, you have no business running a restaurant that serves Asian, Latin, African, or Indian cuisine.
That's according to the creators of a "white-owned appropriative restaurants" list, which accuses several Oregon establishments of engaging in cultural appropriation—a tool of "a white supremacist culture."
The list, a Google Docs spreadsheet, includes about 60 Portland-area restaurants, the names of their white owners, and the kind of cuisine they serve. (For example, the list informs us that Burmasphere "was founded by a white man who ate Burmese food in San Francisco.")....
...Anyway, if you're saying that white people shouldn't serve ethnic food at all, even if it's really authentic and popular with customers, you're going to drastically shrink the pool of non-ethnic people trying, eating, and learning about, ethnic cuisines. That might satisfy the enemies of cultural appropriation, but it doesn't seem like it would ultimately be in the best interests of anyone, including the ethnic restaurateurs.

White Southwesterners such as myself love to eat—and to make—Mexican-style food. We’ve been doing it for a very long time, and even make our own healthy versions of various Mexican-style dishes.
There is nothing racist or illegitimate about whites making Anglo-style Southwestern or Mexican food, whether at home or professionally. Once again, the politically-correct Dim and liberal crowd want to destroy yet another American culture, just as they want to tear down those Confederate monuments and ban the Confederate battle flag!!!

Restaurants come and go depending on the quality and desirability of their food. All of this is just PC BS better known as the crisis of the day.

Suppose there actually was somebody who was so bigoted against Mexicans such that they refused to make a burrito or do anything else that is even vaguely Mexican. Then they had a change of heart and decided to mend their ways....they still shouldn’t do anything vaguely Mexican lest they be called “racist” against that nationality?

Anyone who uses “cultural appropriation” in a positive way, deserves buckshot in their posterior region.
This is about the most egregious example of combined racism and hypocrisy on the planet.
They lash out at whites as being racist and then attempt to create nonsensical standards which only whites must follow.
They need to go back where they came from and appropriate some of the culture that made America great in the first place. And they need to relearn their history to understand this nation is a land of liberty because of its Christian culture and heritage.
Imitation is the greatest form of flattery. If they had any sense they would be promoting “cultural appropriation” as an example of why diversity is supposedly a good thing. If not, remind me of why diversity is a benefit.
If you are going to claim cultural appropriation then you should get your facts straight.
Burrito is 100% USA gringo creation. In Spanish, burrito means “small donkey.” What we call a burrito is called a taco in Mexico.
It has only been in the last 20 years or so that the term “burrito” has migrated south.
Whites make the best burritos...the tortillas are fluffier.
How about Tex-Mex cooking? Who’s getting appropriated there?

And they can forget about all white american and european foods too. No pastas, no sauces, no pizza, no burgers and sandwiches, no smores, no kfc, no french fries, no mac and cheese, no doritos and any other corn or potato based chips, no popcorn, and no sodas.
