"Sanctuary cities lose access to federal grants that require complying with federal immigration law cue the histrionics"
Late on Monday, Attorney General Jeff Session issued a memorandum to all the grant-making components within the Justice Department cutting off any grants to sanctuary jurisdictions. In what will no doubt be a surprise to many in the media who misinterpreted the April injunction issued by Judge William Orrick (an Obama appointee) in the lawsuit filed by the City of San Francisco and Santa Clara County, Sessions action complies fully with that order.
The May 22 memorandum outlines that any city or county applying for a Department of Justice (DOJ) grant administered by the Office of Justice Programs and the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services that requires the applicant to certify compliance with all federal laws will not be eligible for a grant if they are a sanctuary jurisdiction. A sanctuary jurisdiction is defined as any city or county that willfully refuse[s] to comply with 8 U.S.C. §1373.

Chose to recuse himself. How did we get a Special Counsel?
Yeah, a judge can order that those cities receive our tax dollars but, you know, their application for funding can be lost or the check was sent, what do you mean you never got it etc.
An “Unofficial sanctuary city” will have their federal funds unofficially seized. No problem.
Here in Beavercreek, OH the Obama inJustice Department threatened our city with the cutoff of federal highway funds if we refused to buy into the Dayton RTA bus service.
Give that man a statue and a ceegar.
FYI, you want to know how he got it done, go to his website to see his travails.
Hero status !
I doubt they were from Home Depot. HD usually subcontracts these jobs out and the subcontractor sends them. Did you ask to see their right to work in the USA?

they were sub contractors. I was alone and didn’t want to open that can of worms.
Why? What's wrong with Trump-Pence?
Did you let them?
What?! Sessions folded right after being sworn in. We have Trump for 8 years unless he blows it on immigration.
“How did we get a Special Counsel?”
Rod Rosenstein, the Deputy AG!
It should be possible to prosecute Mayors, their local city DAs and even police officials who refuse to cooperate with DOJ/ICE/DHS in the areas designated by this executive order and follow-up instructions.
Let’s do it. I can think of a dozen Democrat mayors who belong in jail for treason, dereliction of duty, obstruction of justice, disobeying the courts, and just for being Democrat Marxist pigs.
Transfer the grant money to a pot for the wall.
The first word that came to my mind was "extortion."
When you reward something, you get more of it.
Yes but who allowed this to happen. Wouldn't Sessions be the one with the authority? Do his underlings have power to go around him? Did the stupid Recusal hand that power down to Rosenstein? Did Sessions know about or approve the appointment of Mueller?

All excellent questions! Since we are not privy to the internal workings of the DOJ and how Trump “manages” them, it’s hard to know what to think. Sessions, thus far, isn’t the AG I would have thought him to be, unless for some reason we don’t yet understand, Trump is holding him off from going after the crooks in the RAT Party, and for a wholesale housecleaning at the Justice Department.
“Sessions for President! Imagine a Pence-Sessions ticket!!”
Horse crap! Sessions hasn’t done enough to earn his stripes as a men’s room attendant yet! Guess you must be a NeverTrumper! And unless Sessions gets his head out of his a$$ and goes to work, I’d be happy to see Trump replace him with someone who kicks a$$ and takes names. Sessions is, at this juncture, a bitter disappointment.
Truer words were never spoken!
