IVANKA TRUMP made the journey from Saudi Arabia to Israel with father US President Donald Trump today and wore an outfit very different to any she’s been pictured in recently.
Ivanka Trump: Was the First Daughter wearing traditional Jewish dress? The 35-year-old was pictured next to husband Jared Kushner as the took part in a welcome ceremony upon her father Donald’s arrival at Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv.
Ivanka co-ordinated her outfit with Jared’s, wearing black and navy, but her style wasn’t as fashion-forward as it’s appeared in the past.
She wore a black lace top with long sleeves and a navy sash across the front, along with a long pleated navy skirt.
She accessorised with black sunglasses and a navy-coloured head piece which lay flat to her head.

Poor Moochelle Obama has the body of a football player. But that is not her fault. She was not fat, just built really big. She would never look graceful and lithe, but if she were a fantastic conservative decent person, we would not have minded how Gd made her.
Oh, maybe it does only apply to Jewish women... I haven’t been. I was under the impression they passed out head coverings to both men and women alike for approaching the wall.

Maybe you can explain something to me. This is lauded as first sitting POTUS to go to Western Wall. Obama went but that was before he was sitting POTUS.
Has it really been that big of deal to go to the Western Wall as POTUS. I guess so since no one has done it.

I think that men wear a yarmulke (small cap) in Jewish religious places. It is a sign of respect and is done, for example, if visiting a synagogue. As for the women, Ivanka is Jewish. Melania is not. Probably the photographer is not.
The State Department has gotten its way claiming that visits to the Kotel are ‘needlessly inflammatory’.

Also, US representatives in Jerusalem reportedly angered the Israelis by turning down a request to have Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tag along.
Why? Because the Western Wall is in East Jerusalem, which the Israelis seized from the Jordanians in 1967 along with the West Bank and which is not officially recognized as Israeli territory...
I find it more interesting that her husband isn’t wearing a kippah, but not interesting enough to warrant an entire news article. I guess the press will grab anything to avoid having to discuss the substance of Trump’s hugely successful visits to the KSA and Israel.
Many religious ‘Modern Orthodox’ Jewish men do not wear head covering except during religious occasions. The Kushners are VERY Modern Orthodox.
Hmm...so perhaps denying Bibi the visit is a fine distinction to add credence that this is a private visit..not a State visit.
