New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman (D) warned Congress on Friday that he would file a lawsuit to protect abortion rights if the Senate passes the House GOP's healthcare bill.
In an interview with CNN's Erin Burnett, Schneiderman attacked the bill, called the American Health Care Act, as "bad public policy."
"It doesn't protect people with pre-existing conditions, it will cost millions of people healthcare," he said.
Schneiderman said that the bill in its current form is unconstitutional due to attacks on "prohibited state funding."
"In a tricky way, [it] tries to wipe out Planned Parenthood," he said. "It's an effort to kill off Planned Parenthood, which would impose an undue burden on women's Constitutionally-protected rights."

Sue to what?
Stop a legally passed bill?
Go ahead you moron, waste taxpayer dollars. Hope it bites you in the azz.
“New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman (D) warned Congress on Friday that he would file a lawsuit to protect abortion rights if the Senate passes the House GOP’s healthcare bill. “
in essence he’s admitting to taxpayer funded abortion...
No grounds to sue. Abortion not to save the mother’s life is not “health care”. It’s murder.
It’s time to sue these commie bastards like this clown until they get the hell out of OUR country.
I suspect New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman (D) has not even read the House bill and is only going on talkingpoints memos provided him by the DNC and CNN/MSNBC reports.
Since when is pregnancy an illness that requires an abortion paid for by the taxpayer?
Let that A.G.go and waste the States money.
They'll probably pay some illegal to cut them in half like they did with a bunch of 1911's during the Clinton scourge, but it would have even a nice gesture.
Another LIBERAL busy "blowing to the galleries."
Abortion is the ultimate hypergamy feminine imperative issue.
Look at all the beta males who go along with it thinking it will help them out with the gals. It buys them absolutely nothing with these women.
Cool
Planned Parenthood performs less than 38% of all US abortions, ergo, no undue burden would result. This is an absolutely empty argument.
1. The bill is nowhere near finished, the Senate may put abortion funding back in.
2. The abortion provisions are a tiny part of the bill.
3. Abortions will be just as available as ever. You just might have to pay for it. There is no “right” to have your abortion paid for by the government.
4. This may turn out to be another example of how why we needed Trump picking Supreme Court nominees.
Life begins at conception. Fetal Homicide is law in most states even committed by the mother. Constitutional protection starts at that moment for the unborn for that is the start of life. Taking (stealing) life be it the first cell division to the full grown human is and should be murder. Elective/selective abortion is sickening with the disgusting irony lost on the leftists. Abortion for grave medical emergency, rape or incest is a more arguable situation.
“NY Schneiderman and CA Becerra are going to waste a ton of taxpayer money suing everything in sight.”
The “Judao-Beaner Compact!”
He’ll sue cuz Upstate ain’t bleeding jobs, taxpayers, and House seats fast enough for him.
No wonder even local pols are talking Upstatehood now, eh?
How many states’ AGs sued vs. Obamacare, but were told by SCOTUS, in essence, that elections have consequences? Leave aside that 2 years after electing Obama and months after passing Obamacare, the Demos took a “shellacking?” Good luck Mr. Schneiderman, good luck!
Schneiderman: “It’s an effort to kill off Planned Parenthood, which would impose an undue burden on women’s Constitutionally-protected rights.”
Hey Eric, I’m anxiously waiting for you to explain how Planned Parenthood is a Constitutionally-protected right. Which part of the Constitution is that? I’m having trouble finding it.
I’m wondering, does congress qualify as a per-existing condition?
