The UC Davis student senate has made it optional to display the American flag at its meetings, stirring up controversy on campus and conservative blogs.
Senate Bill 76 passed Thursday, said Michael Gofman, a student senator who opposed the change.
The bill amends bylaws that required the United States flag to be on display at every senate meeting of the Associated Students, University of California, Davis.

But it’s come to be standard at college campuses, many of which are now hotbeds of anti-Israel, anti-Semitic venom. But what came after is really a stunner. Some scummy little rats spray-painted swastikas on the exterior walls of the Jewish fraternity, Alpha Epsilon Pi.

Obviously the UC Davis students are oblivious as to where the funding comes from for their financial aid. But they are welcome to surrender that financial aid to someone who actually wants to go to college to learn something.
The UC system is so detached from the real world that they have no concept of reality. The UC Davis chancellor was dismissed for ethics violations, fraud and theft, and how do they punish her?
Under the settlement, Katehi will remain on administrative leave for a year as chancellor emeritus, receiving her $424,360 annual pay

affiliated with the UC Davis School of Agriculture
will conduct business pretty much the same as always.
