Sens. Lindsey Graham and John McCain released a joint statement on Tuesday urging President Donald Trump to bolster ground efforts in Syria.
"As part of a broader strategy, we urge the President to take greater military action to achieve our objectives, including grounding the Syrian air force and establishing safe havens inside Syria to protect Syrians,” the statement reads.
“There will never be a diplomatic solution as long as Assad dominates the battlefield,” according to McCain, the Senate Armed Services Committee chairman, and Graham, who chairs an appropriations subcommittee.

What are our ‘objectives’? I see a lot of discussions by McCain, Graham, certain Democrats and the Media. Whatever those ‘objectives’ are they seem pretty mysterious from the American perspective. I’m not willing to give John McCain a blank check on this — that seems to be what he’s asking for.

McCain, who was a Vietnam era fighter pilot and Graham currently an attorney in the Army Reserve presents themselves as expert military strategists over the battle tested combat veterans advising Trump. The very bitter McCain is attempting to run foreign policy out of his senate office. Hopefully, we will see the last of him when his term expires. Maybe His daughter will take him home and park him on the front porch where he belongs. Graham, well, he’s actually fairly harmless without McCain and he does count as a Republican on the senate ledger....
Someone needs to ask these two what our national interest is in Syria.

I wonder where the Freeper is who posted a few days/threads ago that we DO have ground troops in Syria and they have come under attack. When I questioned that - he responded with, “Don’t you know about Special Ops? It’s all over the news.” I figured I didn’t need to point out to him that those AREN’T ground troops and just when have the Spec Ops come under attack?
Maybe somebody can give him an xbox, and one of those shoot-em-up games, and he can blow up anything he wants all day long.
