I’m not convinced either.

It makes no sense for Assad to use them now that the tide of US policy was turning in his favor.

The administration is saying they have proof, but I would really like to see it.

I am only giving Trump the benefit of the doubt here because I trust him - not the rest of the government.

Hmmmm. Well, it is possible since according to rice n kerry the ‘ass-ad’ folks turned in all their “DECLARED” gas stockpiles. Maybe the “undeclared” stuff got pilfered.

A must listen to a voice of reason.

Now that is funny.

I agree...but many hear have closed their ears...and eyes....and minds... in a kind of almost religious fervor.

Agreed. None of this makes sense. We are trusting ISIS and Syrian “rebels” to give us credible intelligence? The people who absolutely hate Trump are suddenly supporting this action? What tactical advantage is gained using chem weapons if Assad’s troops aren’t marching in?

...phosgene and not sarin.

I am not sure I see the difference being dead from phosgene or sarin.

Who are we supporting?

This is the airbase that we hit. Those are almost certainly military grade protective containers full of binary chemical weapons strewn about. There they are. That's what we hit. We have all become skeptical and untrusting of the government and rightfully so but this looks pretty legitimate to me.

I’m with ol’ Weiner here.

A few feckless missiles being shot out is a favorite distraction strategy of US presidents. Trump’s came with advance warning to make sure that nobody was hurt. So we spent about $60M to do maybe $20M of damage that Syria and Russia will have patched up and replaced within the week.

And somehow we think the Chicoms, Norks, etc., are so stupid that they will see this as a threatening signal that will reduce them to obedience?

Oh, and we somehow alerted Russia, multiple Middle Eastern countries, etc.—even Cernovich was reporting on it hours in advance, for God’s sake!—but we really expect the Chinese were in the dark on it?

IIRC, if it is the same video, per some earlier comments in related threads, the video in question pre-dates the ‘sarin attack’.

I think it is most likely a false flag, but I am starting to think Trump either knew or suspected, but didn’t care. I think he wanted a reasonable excuse to make a strong demonstration to China and N. Korea while Xi was in town.

I don’t think this whole incident was about Syria or poison gas.

Agree with Savage. Conservative Treehouse’s Syria article was the first I’ve disagreed with him (and the Jared/Ivanka article is the 2nd). Truth will hopefully surface soon.

It is amazing how right Savage is on these things, just going by his instincts. With very limited information he was right about the “Durham dirtbag”, and the Dubai ports deal.

I have to go with the Mossad on this one though. If the Mossad says Assad did it, then Assad did it. Of course, it could be Israeli misinformation too, but I choose to take them on face value.

But if Savage is proved right again, it will not surprise me in the least. He has a good track record.

I heard some of this and was annoyed that Savage turned on Trump so quickly - his basis that it was a false flag is premised on the “fact” that it was definitively not Assad who did the bombing - I think he needs more proof of this before he goes ballistic and attempts to poison his huge audience against the President.

It was premature to be so sure, Phd or not.

Even if the gassing of people is a set up for Trump, he did the right thing by destroying the known offending airbase. He can’t control the globalist tricks in that part of the world but he sure can use them to his advantage if he’s the 3D chess player that he’s proved himself to be so far.
Hell, the globalists could all be saying right now “Shit, he didn’t do what we thought he’d do!” while Trump is sitting back and getting ready to set the hook.

He should stick to epidemiology because he is factually incorrect about sarin.

(1) I agree with Savage it is suspicious at best and a false flag at worst

(2) BUT...I think Trump KNOWS this, and did it anyway because the minimal attack solved MASSIVE problems for him, sent a huge signal to China and North Korea, while handing him an easy re-load of political capital. If this "outrages" people they are naive in the extreme about how the world really works (re: Michael Corleone quote to Kay in Godfather II).l

(3) What Savage did was DISGUSTING. He actually went on a rant against ISRAEL, saying Trump did it for THEM. This unleashed a torrent of disturbing Neo-Nazi calls that he had to hang up on, starting with a guy saying "Hitler did nothing wrong" (by slaughtering Jews in the Holocaust).

(4) The unhinged Savage/Jones/Milo types need to realize what Trump is up against, and trust that this is just a 3D chess move. We are NOT going to send troops there, or escalate, and don't be surprised if Trump gets this conflict ended in the next 18 months.

Trumps strategy is twofold IMHO. First, he shows the world that he is willing to use military force to do the things he thinks necessary. This separates him from Obama and resets US foreign policy. Secondly, he stands up against Russia and kills the Russian Collusion meme for good. I expect we will hear very little more about the Russians “hacking our election.”
