”Nice Work If You Can Get It” was a Gershwin pastiche that ran on Broadway in 2012. Although this song was transplanted from “Oh, Kay!” it gives you an idea of what it sounded like in the original show.

Well good! Glad the wind’s laid down at last. Breezes feel good but high winds take the fun out of everything.

Nice day here. Sunny and low 60s. Back into the 70s tomorrow for the next week, and no storms in the forecast. Just gotta hope everything survives the cold temps tonight.

Kittehs have been fairly well-behaved today. Pixie is currently playing with a squeaky mousie I pulled out from under a piece of furniture this afternoon. An old toy but new to her. She still has a few weeks before the kittens are born and is getting larger by the day. Makes it funny to see her playing with that big belly.

This was the house band at London’s Savoy Hotel, and they were the last word in British dance band music. Note that the bass lines are doubled with tuba, even though we’re in the electric recording era (1926).

Heck, even the cats that have played with that mousie before are thrilled to see it again. They knock stuff under furniture and I leave it there for a while. Then I get a yardstick and knock toys out from under one piece or another every now and then and it’s like Christmas. LOL! Haven’t bought any new toys in a while.

I have no idea who daddy is but if the kittens take after Pixie, they’ll be adorable. She has the cutest lil face. I need to try to get a pic of her tonight.
You KNOW baby pix will be posted once the kittens arrive. :-)
