“Another payoff via book deal. Seems to be a popular strategy.”

My thoughts exactly.

If any publisher thinks they will earn back $60 million from those three books, they are nuts.

I wonder how much the people who actually write the books will get.

Flatiron is an imprint of Macmillan. Macmillan Publishers is a global trade publishing company, owned by Verlagsgruppe Georg von Holtzbrinck.

Explains a lot, eh?

The good news is that Ol’ Joe will be too busy writing…or looking up things to plagiarize…to run for the presidency.

This book deal nonsense is really over-the-top.

Being good Democrats I assume the Bidens, and the Obamas, will donate most of it to La Raza,CAIR, and some immigrant organizations.

Money laundering. The people who write the books will get about $30k. They probably won’t bother to print up many copies, they’ll just show on the books that they sold them.

The biggest challenge a public servant faces when retiring from office is how to launder his money into daylight in some believable fashion. Multimillion dollar book deals on books no one will ever read, that’s one way. Setting up a foundation to receive donations (that are your own money passed through an intermediary) is another. Being made partner at some firm with no duties, for millions per year, may be another; they are paying you with your own money.

I believe there is a whole industry set up to service the needs of retiring public servants. And I think they have a gentleman’s agreement, to not look too closely at any of this.

WTH? That ain’t fair. He and jilly were 2nd ‘nanners. Isn’t that what bronco and moochie are getting for their memoirs? Besides, who wants to read about the gaffer skinny dippin’ in front of his female SS detail.

This is a “big FU..in’ deal”. Looks like book publishers know that hundreds of thousands of books will be sent to commie school libraries and thus a good profit making scam. Forger soetoro and ‘stand up chuck’ can’t write a lick but can be licked in the right places.

Wealth Redistribution scam.

There is no way they would legitimately sell enough books to recover that amount of money.

Usually the DNC and well heeled liberal organizations buy the books in bulk to drive up sales numbers.

Then they hand the books out for free or send them to the compost pile.

A week after publication books like this show up on eBay for 1¢ plus shipping.

Pure payola.

That’s 3 million copies sold at $20 per. We’re talking Harry Potter numbers for Joe F’n Biden.

This looks like the definition of a vanity project.
Who is really waiting to see three different books ‘written’ by Joe Biden and his wife? I venture to say Chelsea Clinton’s most recent book will out sell the Bidens. That book sold very few copies.

Another payoff via book deal.

Precisely!

Think of how many books they will have to sell just to come close to breaking even, then think of how many dems actually read, and finally consider what Idiot Joe Biden would have to say.

He will also reportedly discuss his reasons for not entering the 2016 presidential election.

It might be a candidate for a "World's Thinnest Book" title.

OTOH, a "World's Thickest Book" would be "Joe Biden's Greatest Gaffes"...I'd buy that one.

In the unlikely event that I feel like I need to read this book, I’ll wait 6 weeks after its publication and pick up a new copy for a $1 in the discount bin.
