Books written by former Vice President Joe Biden and his wife Jill Biden will be coming to a store near you, reports USA Today.
The anticipated release dates have yet to be announced, but the couple has reportedly signed a deal with Flatiron Books.
According to the publisher, the agreement involves three books, two written by the former vice president and the other by his wife, notes The Hill.
Thus far, the content of only one has been revealed.
Politico reports that Joe Biden plans to write about his experience of serving in the White House while coping with the 2015 death of his son Beau. AdChoices
He will also reportedly discuss his reasons for not entering the 2016 presidential election.
In a statement, Flatiron said, "We're so deeply honored to be the publisher of these books by Vice President and Dr. Biden. The vice president's book promises to give us all a deeper understanding of recent political history, but it will clearly also be a book about the values that have given the vice president strength in both good times and bad."
Verification of the $60 million figure:

“Another payoff via book deal. Seems to be a popular strategy.”
My thoughts exactly.
If any publisher thinks they will earn back $60 million from those three books, they are nuts.
These all come with guarantees...every school, every library, every dumb Dem...
I wonder how much the people who actually write the books will get.
their son tried to get his divorce proceedings sealed...but Judge said no..you two made the allegations and made it all public
Amazon can track at what page the average Kindle reader stops reading a book. For Hillary Clinton's latest it was page 28. I wonder what it will be for these insomnia cures.
Flatiron is an imprint of Macmillan. Macmillan Publishers is a global trade publishing company, owned by Verlagsgruppe Georg von Holtzbrinck.
Explains a lot, eh?
Yes, my guess is more copies will be bought by schools and libraries (with taxpayer’s money) than bought by individuals. Within a year or two, the books will be on the bargain table for $2.98.
The good news is that Ol’ Joe will be too busy writing or looking up things to plagiarize to run for the presidency.
I wonder if it will be titled "Groping for Dummies". ;-)
The rumor is that Hillary had a meeting with Joe, showed him the dirt they had on him, and he bowed out. He was planning to run.
Wouldn’t surprise me. Biden is talking about running in 2020. That likely helped him with this deal.
That’s insane money. The Hillary book tanked and so will these.
This book deal nonsense is really over-the-top.
Being good Democrats I assume the Bidens, and the Obamas, will donate most of it to La Raza,CAIR, and some immigrant organizations.
.
Bump with no comment.
Money laundering. The people who write the books will get about $30k. They probably won’t bother to print up many copies, they’ll just show on the books that they sold them.
The biggest challenge a public servant faces when retiring from office is how to launder his money into daylight in some believable fashion. Multimillion dollar book deals on books no one will ever read, that’s one way. Setting up a foundation to receive donations (that are your own money passed through an intermediary) is another. Being made partner at some firm with no duties, for millions per year, may be another; they are paying you with your own money.
I believe there is a whole industry set up to service the needs of retiring public servants. And I think they have a gentleman’s agreement, to not look too closely at any of this.
FDR on television.
Spelling for the criminally stupid.
WTH? That ain’t fair. He and jilly were 2nd ‘nanners. Isn’t that what bronco and moochie are getting for their memoirs? Besides, who wants to read about the gaffer skinny dippin’ in front of his female SS detail.
