Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) told reporters Monday afternoon that former Obama National Security Advisor Susan Rice “ought to testify under oath” after Bloomberg News’s Eli Lake revealed that, during the presidential transition, she deliberately sought to “unmask” President Donald Trump’s associates from intelligence surveillance.
Paul called the reports that Rice made dozens of requests to learn more about the identities of anonymous people thought to be close to the Trump transition team, inadvertently caught on tape during investigations into foreign persons of intelligence interest, “enormous news.”
“If it is allowed, we shouldn’t be allowing it. I don’t think we should discount how big a deal it is that Susan rice was looking at these,” Paul told the assembled reporters.
The Kentucky Senator then cut to the heart of the growing political fight behind what President Trump has called “wiretapping.”
“She needs to be asked, ‘did President Obama ask her to do this?’ I think she ought to testify under oath on this,” Paul opined.
Paul also tried to tie Monday’s revelations about Rice to the slew of leaks on the topic around the time of the handover of the White House. “I think she should be asked under oath, did she reveal it to the Washington Post?” he asked.

It has been opined by some here that all the Russia stuff was payback against Trump when Hillary won the presidency. They were going to use it to ruin him. But Hillary didn’t win. So they recycled it to delegitimize him.. One problem: with Trump winning it means he and his National Security people had access to records compiled during the Obama presidency. Including NSA access logs.
The libs are still using the playbook that treats Republicans as stupid, feckless and compliant. Some Republicans still are. Trump isn’t. And he will only accept the best out of his people. And to him the best means “fight back!” And so they are. And Democrats will keep failing miserably until they realize the playing field has changed.

I guess I worded that poorly. I’m thinking that Obama would claim it on her behalf for “national security “ reasons. But he’s no longer potus, and I don’t believe it can be claimed retroactively.
Just thinking of methods they’ll try usimg to keep from testifying.
Maybe just a straightforward fifth will be her tool.
Her silence is most damning. Yes indeed.

Arrest her. Charge her with multiple felonies and tell her she's going to get 20 years for EACH felony.

I bet she is willingly falling on the sword....for him. And my other bet is that he would kick her to the curb in a heartbeat.

If she lies, the questioner better have the evidence that she is lying so they can get her for lying under oath.
Surely the DOJ have the FBI doing a preliminary investigation by now.
And you would have a mysterious accident.....or die of an unforeseen heart attack..........
The Republicans have had many very guilty people (Hillary) testify and let them skate with lame follow ups and easy questions. Hopefully they will get tough with obvious criminals in front of them.
