Many pieces of the spying scandal on Trump are emerging today.
We know from both Mike Cernovich on Twitter (yes, he DOES have good info) and Eli Lake that Susan Rice requested the names in the "surveillance" to be "unmasked" (i.e., for the people on the wiretaps to be laid naked to the world).
We know Rice's name is on a security log somewhere, as per all rules, regulations, and practicies, in which she asked for said "unmasking." We, or the FBI if it ever chooses to do its job, can find said log very easily.
We know---that is, any sane person knows---that she could not have done this without Zero's complicit approval or a direct order.
We know this was done early, before Trump was the nominee, and so far we do NOT have any evidence that Yeb, Cruz, or Kasich were similarly "surveilled," leading me to think that the Dems ONLY feared Trump.
We know, as per A. J. Strata (http://strata-sphere.com/blog/index.php/archives/22109) that in fact the Russians didn't "spy" on anyone, that it was a PRIVATE CONTRACTOR beholden to the Dem Party, and that it was the Russians who WARNED Trump he was being spied upon.
There is a fascinating Twitter thread today from Jonathan Langdale: https://twitter.com/LarrySchweikart/status/848881406935564288
Langdale treats this like he was "imagining an argument" yet Flynn retweets and TO ME this sounds like in fact he had an extensive conversation with Flynn and that he produced this "imaginary" conversation that likely just happened.
Rush, Cernovich, Posebiac, many on Twitter, and Drudge had this really by last week. Yesterday, Fox began to run with it. Bloomberg today. Likely WSJ and a couple of other left-center rags will come out tomorrow.
The fake news media is now being forced into actually covering UNDENIABLE news that is 100% contrary to their preferences, or they will further descend into complete irrelevance.
Now, does Trump have the guts to prosecute? Yes, I think. But will it go far? Depends on, unfortunately, the Senate and crazy members of the House. Will they support a LEGIT investigation of Zero, and the leaking and the unmasking, or will idiots like McTurd obstruct? My fear is that McTurd and Grahamnesty will join an "impeach" chorus rather than seek real justice.
We all know---all reasonable people on both sides of the aisle know---this is treason. This is far worse than Watergate.
keep reportin, I do not miss a word
> Trump have the guts to prosecute?
Trump should stay out of it for now (IMO). And congress won’t touch it.
Comey, Rogers, and one or two others from the intelligence agencies should be very loudly demanding prosecution. They are the ones who want as much surveillance power as possible. They should accept responsibility for its use/misuse and call out misuse to show they can manage their capabilities responsibly.
If they can’t track misuse they shouldn’t have the capability. If they allow this misuse they can’t have the capability. They should be finding violators and demanding long prison terms for anyone who misuses it. They should take a recommendation to Sessions, rather than Trump telling Sessions to go to them. (or some interaction in the direction of them approaching prosecutors with evidence of crimes, whatever the proper process is)
But the spying started looooong ago.
With Trump, there is ALWAYS strategy involved!
Evan McMillan, “former” CIA agent, tried to screw with Trump’s EC prospects by running in Utah. Turned out it didn’t matter, but it very well could have been the difference between us having today a President Trump vs. the nightmare scenario of a President Hillary Clinton.
Also, FYI - Trump used the same to describe him: https://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/310852-trump-calls-evan-mcmullin-mcmuffin-in-rally-speech
Joe DeGenova, on WMAL radio’s “Mornings on the Mall,” said that he had a very good idea of the names of the other 3 people who accessed the NSA records along with Susan Rice. However, he did not want to give them out yet. My interpretation: I know who they are but don’t have solid confirmation, thus not making the accusation right now.
Excellent, excellent original material..!
Amazing post.
This would bring an incredible story into some seriously uncharted territory.
“From what Ive read Obama has escaped to some place in the Pacific with which weve no extradition treaty. Other potential suspects/witnesses may be in hiding as well.”
Professor Obama is hiding out on Gilligan’s Island (actually Brando’s Island) while a buxom young Mary Ann and a couple of husky dudes ghost write his $60 million dollar memoirs...or something
It was supposed to be a 30 day tour....check David Geffen’s yacht schedule
Sessions has not recused himself from this investigation. It has nothing to do with the Russians.
In any event, there is more than one competent employee in the Justice Department...
It really does come down to does Trump have the guts and how much will the republicans obstruct him.
Well done!
Rice had no fear about leaving tracks because Hillary was a shoe-in. She must have s*it on 11/8 when DJT won. She (and others) need to be arrested, prosecuted and sent to jail. The GOPe better not cut her a break.
The scandal is the Obama administration weaponizing intelligence agencies against political foes, then releasing classified information illegally gathered to friendly hacks in the media. Trump, his family, his political team, and his associates are all the victims. I wouldn’t b surprised if similar intelligence was gathered on GOP members of congress, donors, and conservatives in the media.
Of course, “everyone knew” Hillary would win and nobody would be held to account. But this Obama dossier may (should) land some of Obama’s most loyal jack boots in federal prison.
The FBI is, apparently, an "independent agency," which means their director does the bidding of the MSM-Democrats.
I beg to differ on this. This is way beyond the House and Senate right now. They do not have prosecutorial powers, and since it now involves people who are no longer in government it's probably outside their oversight authority for all intents and purposes. It is now a criminal matter.
For the players involved, there may be major civil lawsuits as well. I'm thinking particularly of Mike Flynn, who is now a civilian and has every right to address these matters in civil court.
Awaiting further instructions from Mike Morell who's in heavy consultation with Sid Blumenthal?
The written standard for unmasking is “foreign intelligence value”, a very low threshold and darn near any bullshit story will do.
Rice is not at legal risk for unmasking, nor Obama even if it can be proven he ordered it.
The only person in legal jeopardy is the LEAKER.
Sessions’ recusal applies to the Russian fiction. He hasn’t recused himself from felonies committed by the former administration. Nunes said what he viewed had nothing to do with the Russian investigation.
It will be interesting to see with the unmasking first took place as in before Trump won the nomination.
They'll choose door number 2.
If they charge Rice, the headlines will be something like:
"In Nod to his KKK Supporters, Trump Starts Jailing Successful Black Figures"
