Many of the most iconic photos of Barack Obama’s presidency came from Pete Souza, the official White House photographer. Granted extensive access to Obama, he shot the Osama Bin Laden war room photo, moments the president shared with Michelle Obama, the many famous images of the president interacting with kids, and countless more. These carefully composed photos so defined the public image of Obama that it nearly made Souza a household name.
In its visual representation, as in so many other respects, the Trump administration has made a break with the past. Most of what we see of Trump comes from either the traveling pool of press photographers or the smartphones of his staff...
The new administration does have an official photographer in Shealah Craighead, who was hired in late January. She was the personal photographer for first lady Laura Bush, as well as the photo editor for Vice President Dick Cheney...

souza is a famous photographer- and has taken many iconic photographs- We throw up a little each time we have to see the previous president, but souza did take some pretty stunning photos- it’s just too bad it had to include that president- He did take some pretty cool photos with the flag and lighting just right etc- but again- it just sucks that they included the previous president- he shoulda saved his talent for this president
The best thing about obama being out of office is there are no photos of him being seen. He was everywhere for 8 years!!

clinton for 8 was bad enough- but at least ‘somewhat tolorable’ until the oval or office debacle- but 8 years of obama was simply brutal-

Taking a picture of Trump at his desk with a single sheet of paper on it, that he is reading, would be a huge change from obama.

I wondering how many times Obama had the photog re-take that “war room” pic so he could appear “in command” with the right facial expression.
