Slip-sliding away. He’s heading for another “bankruptcy” (that’s right folks, he doesn’t always make the right moves) thanks to some VERYbad advice.

Very good advice. FC must be utterly destroyed. See my other posts.

About the Tuesday Group and other organizations, there is one thing I would like to know about all of them. Who is financing each group? What does that entity want? The globalists, uni party advocates, civic organizations, etc. are all funded by multi millionaires and billionaires who are not on the same page about everything but have in common the defeat of this Republic as we know it. There are enough agents working against the Trump administration without elected congress persons refusing to work within the structure of their own party to influence the outcome of legislation. The FC goal of defeating the Ryan bill was not amenable to compromise from get go. I am not a Ryan fan but I think he has the leadership position because nobody else wants it. At least nobody who has the clout to get themselves elected to that position.

Trump is a "deal-maker", not a conservative. If the small number of conservatives in congress are recalcitrant enough to stand by their demand for smaller government, he will swing to the left and work with the small number of Democrats willing to recognize a good opportunity to get what they wanted all along.

So we'll end up with more government control over our health care and Trump will call it a victory.

This was all predicted by some of us and there'll be more of it over the next four years.

If Chuck Schumer is smart, he'll recognize that all his dreams have come true. Luckily, Chuck Schumer is not smart, so there's still some hope.

>>If you voted for him expecting him to be a conservative you’re the one who’s delusional.<<

Many conservatives supported Trump completely even though we knew he was much more populist than conservative. But we also heard him say things like:

I will repeal Obamacare!

He said it over and over again. Part of his stump speech.

He did NOT say: We need to to tweek Obamacare so that the insurance industry can make more money while leaving the middle class with an impossible burden!! Which is what he and Ryan are pushing.

So now, while reneging on his campaign promise and demanding that conservatives support him in such a betrayal, he declares that it is his intention to seek our defeat in 2018 (”We must fight them in 2018!”-exclamation point in the original).

If that’s how he wants it, then so be it. Maybe he’ll be successful and he’ll defeat conservatives in 2018. Then again, maybe he won’t be so successful after all. And after 2018, comes 2020.

How does one bill add up to an "obsession"?

I like Nunes. So if not the freedom caucus, who does President Trump align himself with in the congress?

Trump gave FC what they wanted and kept an open door for them to voice their complaints. Instead, they operated as bad faith negotiators saying one thing to his face and doing the opposite behind his back.

Evidence?

He's not going to campaign against the FC in 2018. I don't care what he tweeted this morning. Ryan would be thrilled if he did but he won't.

And he never said 'I will repeal Obamacare" "He said I'll repeal and replace Obamacare." Big difference and I'm certain that my quote is correct because I cringed every time I heard him say it. I HATE the repeal and replace bullsh*t! I just want it repealed. But that's not what he promised to do. Hell...at one point he was saying he'd role out a plan where very single American would be covered and the government would pay for it. He walked that one back.

Well, I am not sure I can answer your entire question...Perhaps you can find some information on the Tuesday Group.

I actually did some research on Freedom Caucus...

These are the average 2016 Congressional campaign costs:

https://www.opensecrets.org/overview/cost.php
Repubs Congressional Race:

Average raised: $1,799,784
Average Spent: $1,726,824

Average Cash on Hand: $544,729

Average from PACS: $817,830
Average from Individual: $864,599

The average amount donated by Koch in 2016 Congressional Races to Freedom Caucus members was between $5000-$10,000 with highest and only $15,000 donation going to Ron DeSantis and lowest to Gary Palmer at $1,000. These were similar amounts that they gave to many other Republicans too.

Interestingly, Paul Ryan got $39,522 and Tom Pompeo got $71,100

So I don’t think the Koch brothers can be accused of influencing the Freedom Caucus agenda with average donations of $5000-$10,000 when the average Congressional race is close to $2,000,000.

https://www.opensecrets.org/orgs/recips.php?id=d000000186&cycle=2016&state=&party=&chamber=&sort=N&page=3

I am not sure of the discussions and circumstances behind closed doors, but Ryan’s bill was a turd and did nothing to drain the swamp through REPEAL.

Since the FC is comprised of only 30ish members, there is no way they could have installed a member. I wish someone else would have stepped up. I think Ryan should have never been allowed to be Speaker especially after he uninvited Trump to campaign with him and Gov. Walker in Wisconsin at the important Labor Day events.

That said, when the newly elected President is saying Ryan is a good guy, etc. I can see why everyone would vote for him as Speaker :( I don’t trust him—I don’t think he has Trump’s best interests at heart.

I used to live in Wisconsin, and so I have been following him for years. He may have bee a great conservative during his first term 20 years ago, but he is now an open borders globalist who gave Obama whatever he wanted. I don’t know why Trump tolerates him.

Frankly, I am sorry the bill was not good enough to be compromise-worthy...it was a Turd bill developed from Ryan’s Better Way platform (which he introduced during the campaign to derail Trump’s agenda).

Donald Trump isn’t “the boss”. This is the cult of personality.

I disagree. The president has ALWAYS been the de facto leader of his party. Always.

“He’s not going to campaign against the FC in 2018. I don’t care what he tweeted this morning.”

So you know what Trump intends to do better than he knows what he intends to do. Sure thing. He’s had all day to walk back his declaration of war and hasn’t done so.

I’ll tell you what I intend to do.

I intend to listen to what the man actually says and hold him to it.

And if he says he intends to fight me, then that’s exactly what he’s going to get. A fight.

“I know many on FR are in love with Ivanka, but I have to say that I get an uneasy feeling whenever I see her involvement. I hear she’s now an official employee and I really don’t care for it.”

I agree with you, and I wish more of us did. I don’t like it at all. (Also I see women getting this feeling a lot sooner than men, both here & in Facebook. Hmmm.)

Time to start thinking about who we run in the 2020 primary.

Well ya got nothing but business as usual insider political frauds to choose from. How about another Boosh?
