About the Tuesday Group and other organizations, there is one thing I would like to know about all of them. Who is financing each group? What does that entity want? The globalists, uni party advocates, civic organizations, etc. are all funded by multi millionaires and billionaires who are not on the same page about everything but have in common the defeat of this Republic as we know it. There are enough agents working against the Trump administration without elected congress persons refusing to work within the structure of their own party to influence the outcome of legislation. The FC goal of defeating the Ryan bill was not amenable to compromise from get go. I am not a Ryan fan but I think he has the leadership position because nobody else wants it. At least nobody who has the clout to get themselves elected to that position.

Well, I am not sure I can answer your entire question...Perhaps you can find some information on the Tuesday Group.

I actually did some research on Freedom Caucus...

These are the average 2016 Congressional campaign costs:

https://www.opensecrets.org/overview/cost.php
Repubs Congressional Race:

Average raised: $1,799,784
Average Spent: $1,726,824

Average Cash on Hand: $544,729

Average from PACS: $817,830
Average from Individual: $864,599

The average amount donated by Koch in 2016 Congressional Races to Freedom Caucus members was between $5000-$10,000 with highest and only $15,000 donation going to Ron DeSantis and lowest to Gary Palmer at $1,000. These were similar amounts that they gave to many other Republicans too.

Interestingly, Paul Ryan got $39,522 and Tom Pompeo got $71,100

So I don’t think the Koch brothers can be accused of influencing the Freedom Caucus agenda with average donations of $5000-$10,000 when the average Congressional race is close to $2,000,000.

I am not sure of the discussions and circumstances behind closed doors, but Ryan’s bill was a turd and did nothing to drain the swamp through REPEAL.

Since the FC is comprised of only 30ish members, there is no way they could have installed a member. I wish someone else would have stepped up. I think Ryan should have never been allowed to be Speaker especially after he uninvited Trump to campaign with him and Gov. Walker in Wisconsin at the important Labor Day events.

That said, when the newly elected President is saying Ryan is a good guy, etc. I can see why everyone would vote for him as Speaker :( I don’t trust him—I don’t think he has Trump’s best interests at heart.

I used to live in Wisconsin, and so I have been following him for years. He may have bee a great conservative during his first term 20 years ago, but he is now an open borders globalist who gave Obama whatever he wanted. I don’t know why Trump tolerates him.

Frankly, I am sorry the bill was not good enough to be compromise-worthy...it was a Turd bill developed from Ryan’s Better Way platform (which he introduced during the campaign to derail Trump’s agenda).
