God let his own Son die because it had to happen. People die and it often doesn’t make sense why they did. Suffering doesn’t happen because God is removed from us. It happens because the world is imperfect.
And you are WRONG! God is not removed from us. Why have a God if He is not around? Evil, STUFF happens in this world. We live in a FALLEN world because of the curse which came upon creation as a result of the fall of man in the garden!!! Good grief. You act like God is just sitting there waiting for something to happen so you can complain about it. YES!!! God allows things to happen. Kind of like He ALLOWS YOU to MAKE the decision of whether to accept Him or deny Him!!! Man, you need to desperately spend some knee time. You need to be talking to God more if you think He is withdrawn and not paying attention. Evil will be here until He returns for His bride and then deals with this world at the end of the Tribulation.

If a good god was in control of all fate of innocents, none would be harmed.

He literally said “over my dead and resurrected body will I allow humanity to go to hell”.
Most folks don’t know that Satan has to get permission from God to do evil. It’s how it works in the spiritual realm, which is far more real than our puny 2-D VR realm.
If those who were killed in this tragedy were saved Christians, I can easily promise you that they don’t want to come back here.

The world is a device that exists to allow us the opportunity to become worthy to spend eternity with God. For the device to function properly, it is necessary that bad things can happen to good people for no discernable reason.

We live in a fallen Creation. Lots of bad things happen. It is up to us to Witness to others as we deal with adversity and as they deal with adversity.
I pray for the injured (if any) and families of the deceased.
I often have that feeling myself, especially that He is very removed from us or that He only listens to the prayers of some and ignores the rest of us. Very scary and depressing. It removes all hope for a better future.
