This is developing! It is more than a rumor as the source is known to me and is credible.
I admit I haven't yet validated everything. But I am asking Freepers to help catch any news, social media, credible scuttlebutt on the firing of Comey.
All I see is a handful of questionable sources on Twitter saying this.

I like Gowdy, When I had to move to Greenville SC, I made sure I was in his district.
At first, Chief FBI sounded a bit hokey.
Gowdy is a top notch prosecutor that has great respect for the law. I thought he would make a great AG as good as Sessions at least. Trump couldn’t do much better and a heck of a lot worse.
But I’ve a feeling the next FBI director is going to be Black or Female, perhaps both.
A Trey Gowdy vs Lindsay Graham would make a fun contest to watch as Gowdy fillets Graham.

My contribution to FAKE NEWS: Multiple sources have assured me that this Saturday there will be a sudden, massive explosion of FAKE NEWS stories appearing across the country.
I’m not sure why this would be happening on Saturday!
Nunes’ revelation would be grounds for both Comey and Rogers to be fired.
I would not remove Gowdy from the House though.
Bolton was a very good lawyer under Reagan. I’d consider him.
