NCAA gives North Carolina ultimatum on ‘bathroom bill’
Washington Times ^ | March 27 2017 | Bradford Richardson

The NCAA is threatening to remove North Carolina from consideration to host championship games for the foreseeable future if the state does not repeal a law regulating public restrooms, locker rooms and showers on the basis of biological sex.

The collegiate sports league will announce championship locations from 2018 to 2022 on April 18, and it said North Carolina will not be among them unless HB2 is repealed.

This is a no-brainer.

Should North Carolina law be based on public interest and the desires of the citizenry, our should they chuck their own people under the bus to pursue an arena booking that will happen every fourth year?

The NCAA need North Carolina more than North Carolina needs the NCAA.

North Carolina has not hosted a championship game since 1994. They don't have a venue large enough. Empty threat.

One certainly hopes that North Carolina will know how to respond to these crack-pot bullies. What a complete mockery of their supposed function, which certainly is not to war on the rights of a State to legislate on health, safety & morals. (Constitutional lawyers will explain to the NCAA loons that those things are reserved to the States under our Constitution, as the “Police Powers.”)

Someone needs to go to NCAA headquarters-check their rest rooms—take photos if not in compliance with liberals.

How about banning the NCAA from having offices in INDIANapolis? That’s racist!

Here's to hoping the Tarheels win the NCAA tournament.

What would be better would be if the UNC coach accepts the trophy, and then hands it back and says, "You know what, you keep it, we don't want it in our state."

What’s funny is that, all in all, NC is a lib State - liberal cities for certain. NCAA was very happy to bring the BB Tourney to Greenville in the totally conservative TEA party Upstate of South Carolina. What a hoot!

Bullies. The SEC, Big 12,& Big 10 ought to pull out of the NCAA. Boycott the boycotters."

Unfortunately, that's not gonna happen since the university leadership that would vote on such things is in lock-step liberal groupthink with the NCAA. The only reason the NCAA would be dumped would be for the usual reason... money.

Has anyone noticed the ads during the NCAA tournament, i.e., "sports aren't played by genders, but by athletes"?

Well, NCAA, if you really believe that crap, why have separate teams for men and women? Why not just have ONE team for the best athletes, regardless of gender? Oh, I get it, you don't believe your own bullsh*t. Screw you, NCAA.

The areas being affected are lib for sure but in these parts of NC it is NOT liberal.

Cabarrus County, Home of Charlotte Motor Speedway.

(the effect is squat anyway. NC is in the top 10 of every growth category)

NASCAR has become as pansy as the NCAA. They seem to be escalating their pansy competition to the NFL level.

If the NCAA does this NC should first bar NCAA from receiving any and all funds from NC colleges and then sue NCAA for discriminatory practices and then all other states with sane bathroom laws should follow suit.

The NCAA doesn’t get to feed from the government trough.

Then we’ll see where their principles are.

It's because they depend on corporate money; anything dependent upon corporate money is being forced to the left. How ironic - most corporations are now forces for globalist, anti-Christian leftism.
