A Senate panel will question Jared Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law and a top adviser, about a meeting he arranged with a Russian ambassador, according to a report on Monday.
The Senate Intelligence Committee, which has been looking into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election, wants to talk to Kushner about meetings with Kremlin envoy Sergey Kislyak, the New York Times reported, citing administration and congressional officials.
The White House has confirmed that Kushner met Kislyak in early December at the Trump Tower, but the report said Kislyak requested another meeting that month.
Kushner asked a deputy to attend that meeting.
But later Kushner met with Sergey Gorkov, the head of Vnesheconombank, which the Obama administration hit with sanctions after Russian President Vladimir Putin annexed Crimea, the report said.

OMG!! That is so funny. The Russians met with the new administration in DECEMBER and it effected the election? This is hilarious. I thought the purpose of an ambassador is to have have someone to meet with. Now meeting with an ambassador is the worst thing in the world and requires a cavity search lasting months.
If I had the money, I’d hire a lawyer that knows the ins and outs of Washington and knows how to stay out of jail. They are gunning for Ivanka. Gorelick is a detestable human being, but she knows how to stay out of prison. White knight lawyers don’t exist, especially in NY, DC circles.

Gorelick’s actual role in the Trump administration needs to be clarified.
Trump is better off being made aware of why Gorelick is personna non grata to New Yorkers who lost so much due to Clinton era rules. Though Obama seems to have reversed the secrecy rule between intelligence agencies.
What exactly will Trump do to stop the sharing of NSA unredacted data among intelligence agencies? Could he not write an EO to stop it right away? Or is the Right to Privacy just an antique of post-Constitutional Presidency?

After reflection - I believe my theory is Paul Ryan wants out but he wants to be a high priced lobbyist or some nice pay day. I think he knows he can't lead this group as not enough of the house truly likes or trusts him.

Gorelick is a well-known Washington lawyer who specializes in ethics law. She works for many Republicans. I don't like Gorelick at all, but if you're going to turn your back on people just because you don't like the lawyers they hire, and pay for with their own money, you'll never be able to support anyone.
