Biden: I regret not running for president
By Brooke Seipel - 03/25/17 04:55 PM EDT
Former Vice President Joe Biden late Friday night said he regretted not running for the presidency, predicting if he had secured the Democratic nomination he could have won against Donald Trump.
"I had planned on running for president and although it would have been a very difficult primary, I think I could have won, he said. Maybe not, I dont know.
"I was fairly confident that if I had become the Democratic nominee, I would have had a good chance to be president," Biden continued.
Do I regret not being president? Yes, Biden said. "I was the best qualified."

Agree 100%.
I don’t think Sanders tried to lose. He was defeated by a rigged system, cheating and the Super-Delegates. His big payday was compensation for not complaining about the unfair playing field, and for his endorsement and ongoing support for Crooked.
But he doesn't regret not getting that severed horse head in his bed compliments of the Clintons....
Omg
It would have been like “ National Lampoons White House Vacation” if that lecherous walking gaffe machine would have been installed.
If you don’t have the guts for running BEFORE the race begins.....shoulda means nothing....”0”.....nada
WHAAH? Jill thanks G.. Every Day that theirs was “open” and she didn’ t have to put up with Alzheimer’s farts in bed!
That sounds like taking a dive to me.
The party owed her....biggest party fund raiser ever!!! No other reason...It’s a party of sheep....
Pummeling you right now and enjoying every moment!
The fact that a presidential candidate in 1988 would even be around to consider another run 28 years later tells you everything you need to know about just how stale the Democrat Party has become.
I originally thought you meant Sanders threw the primsry. If you meant he tried to win, got wholesale cheated, and took big bucks as compensation, then we’re entirely in agreement.
He might be right.
Not a lot of people would have done worse than HRC.
Would have lost to Bernie.
Like Cousin Eddie without the charm, panache and intelligence.
Trump would have draped the 8 years of Obama’s failures around Biden’s neck. And the whole “vote for me because I’m a woman” thing wouldn’t have been a factor.
Well, he does have baggage, but orders of magnitude less than HRC.
I meant he quit. Gave up. Threw in the towel.
Oh, no. . .I forgot he was still around.
