Ryan was basically given a vote of No-Confidence.

YASSSS! Lyin Ryan is NOT a leader and needs to go!

He could not whip enough votes for his signature RyanCare Bill.

Perhaps Cruz has stepped on too many toes, but I think if he were Speaker, Trump’s agenda would move forward like a steam roller.

He’d be like a next generation Gingrich, or like Tom “The Hammer” Delay was as a majority whip.

Boehner was milquetoast. Ryan is proving to be pretty much the same. Too moderate. Too willing to reach across the aisle.

And, unfortunately, a good number of Republicans are just moderate Democrats who were no longer welcome in that party once the “hail Satan” Communist-loving left took it over.

Be still, my heart—if Ryan and Priebus could both be purged—I would start to feel optimistic about this presidency again.

(Instead of anticipating Gang of Eight 2.0 on immigration, and a VAT-lite, uniparty dream on tax reform.)

Anyone who lives in Wisconsin: How the hell did this moron get reelected? I cannot imagine being a Republican and voting for this guy, how is that possible? It’s like voting for Ted Kennedy.

MSM code words being issued...

I’m sure, “failure” will be heard in describing Republicans and Trump.

I also predict Ryan as failure will not be used.

That will be telling.

The problem isn’t getting rid of Ryan, but who the Elite would elect to Speaker instead. They are always a RINO asshat who surrenders to the Democrats and wants to get along and go along.

The GOP has never had a Speaker with a damn since Gingrich, and the elite won’t allow one today. I would love to see Ryan gone, but I have NO CONFIDENCE in who they would replace him with. None whatsoever.

Is this what draining the swamp looks like?

It won’t be Newt. Although the Speaker does not have to be a member of Congress, Congress will want one of their own and would be very jealous of Newt.

I have a suggestion for replacement. A former, very successful Speaker of the House....of Delegates of Virgina. Morgan Griffith. Solid conservative, but not to the point of screwing up a good deal. He was able to make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear here in Virginia.

It would be great to see Ryan replaced. But if his replacement is McCarthy, Scalise, McMorris-Rogers, or someone of that ilk, why bother?

It should be someone like Dave Brat or Mark Meadows.

The interesting thing is, the Speaker of the House does not have to be a member of the House.

With that in mind, some have suggested former speaker Newt Gingrich.(God knows, with the way he met his current wife, the Dems would immediately tie him to Trump...)

But I've a better idea.

What Republican can you think of is a a strong populist, an advocate of cutting back the size of government, and got screwed by the Dems?

Why, none other than our beloved Sarah Palin.

The reasons to pick her fall into one's hand like ripe fruit off the vine.

1) She puts an end to all the chant of "GOP's war on womyn."

2) Her signature line, though not even hers, got hung around her neck by Tina Fey: "And I can see Russia from my house." Just think, she was on the lookout for Russia even before the Dems thought of it!

3) She was VP candidate under McCain. After the combined backstabbing of her by Romney's people (Steve Schmidt) and McCain combined, it sure would be sweet revenge for the person McCain snubbed to be elevated to a more influential position than his.

I don't expect this to fly, really. But it sure would tweak all the right people in all the right ways, while Trump continues to drain the swamp!
