President Trump said Friday that Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) should remain Speaker even if the afternoon vote on the GOP healthcare plan fails.
Yes, he said when asked whether Ryan should keep his job.

IF this was a private business, Ryan would have been fired yesterday.
POS.
I have one comment on your well done post. Yes, you speak of a time when a doctor treated a sick person regardless of his ability to pay.
That was a time in which individual Americans despised the thought of charity. It was seen as shameful. If a person could not pay with money, he or she would barter items such as food, or one would work for the doctor to pay off the debt.
Too many people today feel entitled. Doctors have bills, just like we all do.
If Ryan stays, Trump must be on good terms with him. Of course he’ll say positive things about Ryan at this point.
The President has learned a valuable lesson.
Stop burning bridges.
The House will deal with Ryan and he knows it. He loses nothing by voicing public support.
Would Trump not fire a person at his own company who failed?
Of course he would so what is it that Trump and Ryan are up to?
President Trump will correctly use Ryan as his whipping boy for every Trump initiative that fails. That will diminish Ryan and frame him as an incompetent wuss who can’t get anything done.
Maybe that will motivate House members to dump Ryan as speaker as pressure mounts to push Trump’s agenda through.
BTW, Trump didn’t elect Ryan as speaker, our worthless congressional RINOs are guilty of that. Trump praising Ryan removes Trump’s fingerprints from assassinating that worthless RINO Ryan.
Watch what happens behind the scenes not in front of the cameras.
Ha!! TRUE!!
If you recall Arnold originally went after the Democrat power base with initiatives to cripple the public employee unions. The Pub establishment did nothing to help get them passed, and they went down to defeat. After that Arnold did a 180 and started working with the Dems to pass parts of their agenda. There’s a lesson in that for the Freedom Caucus.
Was he getting Soros money too?
Yikes. Hard to keep track of them all.
I pray you are right.
Ms. Harley,
I wholeheartedly agree. Unlike most people here, I don’t think I am qualified to be in Congress, nor do I want to be. But the dynamics in Congress are far more complicated than Ryan. Getting rid of Ryan won’t solve the problem, just like getting rid of Boehner did not solve the problem.
Yeah, I agree.
Meanwhile he told Bannon to send a signal to the HF caucus to hold fast on opposition. I'm guessing Priebus was out of the loop on this instruction due to his friendship with Ryan.
Trumps sells the bill enough to not have his fingerprints on Ryan's downfall. Now we get a new Speaker and a new Bill.
That’s a pretty fanciful theory.
Trump is a fool on this.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Precisely so. And if he doesn’t begin to immediately clean house and get rid of the freaking losers in his own party, he will be committing political suicide. His worst enemies are people in his own party.
Yup, I totally agree.
