President Trump said Friday that Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) should remain Speaker even if the afternoon vote on the GOP healthcare plan fails.
Yes, he said when asked whether Ryan should keep his job.
(Excerpt) Read more at thehill.com ...
Ryan should resign. He had a horrible bill.
Trump had to say that this morning... all that has changed now that Ryan’s bill has gone down in flames.
Ok folks, we have our work cut out for us...mail postcards everyday to President Trump and let him know we do NOT want to retain RINO RYAN...
Time to clean the swamp and it starts with Ryan!!!
Go on twitter, facebook, which ever one you use and start pounding out that we don’t want RINO RYAN...join Paul Nylian and help him out, he’s been against RYAN from the start...had the votes until someone put in more votes than there were people...if you get my drift...
Work, Work, Work everyday, get rid of RINORYAN!!!
Trump endorsed McCain and Ryan in their primaries and they have done nothing but stab him in the back since.
Ryan needs to be replaced as Speaker.
I remember feeling like this when the “Governator” let conservatives down in CA. Why, oh why, would Trump support Ryan at this point?
Why not have a bell weather loser ensconced to chime when enemies gather?
Trump is a fool on this.
This has the feel of a GM for a sports team who gives the head coach a “vote of confidence” before giving him the hook.
I don’t know why he would say yes.
I’m sick of hearing about 3D Chess.
We should have had a repeal of the bill an that’s that.
It’s what we voted for.
Ryan must go!
He is a loser.
Ryan is a GOPe stooge.
They fought against Trump tooth and nail last year.
They did everything they possibly could to defeat him, including rigging caucuses to support someone they literally hated.
So yes, Ryan needs to go back to the green lagoon he crawled out of.
Right. There wasn't even a vote.
Ryan should step aside or be replaced. He's a failed Establishment tool.
It was nice of the President to remain positive until the last minute, but Paul Ryan will continue to be an obstacle to the President's agenda, not a helper of it...
No , both Obamacare and Ryan need to go.
If the government got out of the healthcare thing we could get major medical policies and a decent price. Instead they gave us policies that cover nothing and cost us hoards .
A Speaker who couldn't get a bill passed with his Party overwhelmingly controlling the House has to go!
The quote is from earlier this morning... Trump wasn’t going to throw Ryan under the bus when a vote was about to occur, it would have been ridiculous to do so publicly.
Now that Ryan’s gambit has utterly failed, all that changes.
The House will deal with the Speaker.
Politics is the art of the possible, not the whimsical.
There are not the votes in the US Senate to repeal Obamacare. Maybe after the 2018 midterms, but until then, it's simply mathematically impossible.
How many times must people be reminded of this fact before its truth sinks in?
Having a slim majority works in the House, but not the Senate, unless they're willing to throw out the filibuster. But they aren't...
Ryan is a complete failure..not a leader..needs to go asap. He is worthless and the big loser today
