The owner of the restaurant wasn't very bright to think that he could get away with this for long especially in such a small community as Refugio which is on the 'underground railway' between the border and Houston. That leads me to believe he had procured them to staff his restaurant, otherwise why would they stop in Refugio when they could have continued on and blended-in successfully in Houston.

Actually, this is just one of many places in south Texas that harbor them. Unfortunately, for this guy, he got caught.

Probably one of those restaurants where you could eat off the floor.
Because the dishes and silverware are so disgusting.

The 46 year-old pleaded not guilty to 16 counts of harboring immigrants in the country illegally, one count of conspiring to conceal, harbor or shield the 16 immigrants from detection and one count of furnishing firearms to an undocumented person.

He probably has a gaggle of high priced pro-bono open border lawyers who will obfuscate the case for as long as possible to tie up the court system. The judge will most likely be dumbfounded by their legal stature and let them make a circus of his courtroom.

It’s a start. Time to start nailing employers and enablers of illegal aliens to the wall. It’s also time to start targeting “sanctuary cities”, “sanctuary counties”, and “sanctuary states” with criminal prosecution along with civil financial punitive damages.
Make the message crystal clear to the states: violate federal law, aid and harbor illegals, side with foreign nationals, and you lose all federal protections, and you lose your statehood.

The SC found that Arizona could not enforce immigration laws because the Obama administration did not want them to. It is time for Trump to tell states that he wants them to enforce federal law. Arizona and Texas can then make it illegal to be illegal in their states. Self deportation will begin immediately.

A guy who runs a restaurant called “Refugio” is accused of harboring refugees? The defense attorney is going to have hands full on this one.

We need about 100 prosecutions like this in each state for a start. Then we can afford to go after the small number still stupid enough not to get rid of their illegals.
