Members of the intelligence community collected incidental communications of the Trump transition team during legal surveillance operations, producing dozens of reports which eventually unmasked several individuals identities and which were widely disseminated, a top lawmaker said Wednesday afternoon. House Intelligence Chairman Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., said none of the reports he had read mentioned Russia or Russians and he was unsure whether the surveillance occurred at Trump Tower. Nunes also was unsure if then President-elect Trump was captured by the surveillance, which occurred in November, December and January. I recently confirmed on numerous occasions the intelligence community incidentally collected intelligence, Nunes said.

Agreed. That’s my point — that the phrase “wires tapped” is open to a much broader interpretation than “phones tapped.”
Remember when picking teams for games as a kid, and there was always that little dude saying "Pick Me ! Pick Me !"
Well, I'm still here, but now I say, "Ping Me ! Ping Me !"
Perfecto! Thanks! :)
If so, maybe the good guys have been laying the groundwork for this since November? "
1.The Intelligence Community -at the direction of President Obama- made a request to a FISA court for the NSA to spy on Donald Trump in June 2016. It was denied.
2.In October the Intelligence Community (NSA) -at the direction of President Obama- made a second request to the FISA court for the NSA to spy on Donald Trump. It was approved.
3.At around the same time (October), as the second request to FISA, (Def Sec) Ash Carter and (DNI) James Clapper tell President Obama to dump NSA Director Mike Rogers.
4.A week after the election, Mike Rogers makes a trip to Trump Tower without telling his superior, James Clapper; which brings about new calls (November media leaks to WaPo) for President Obama to dump Mike Rogers.

The heads of the Pentagon and the nations intelligence community have recommended to President Obama that the director of the National Security Agency, Adm. Michael S. Rogers, be removed.
The recommendation, delivered to the White House last month, was made by Defense Secretary Ashton B. Carter and Director of National Intelligence James R. Clapper Jr., according to several U.S. officials familiar with the matter.
[
] In a move apparently unprecedented for a military officer, Rogers, without notifying superiors, traveled to New York to meet with Trump on Thursday at Trump Tower. That caused consternation at senior levels of the administration, according to the officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal personnel matters. (link)"
Maybe but what if the existence of this was kept secret from everyone including the FBI?
Ate you saying you have real details or is it logic reasoning like I used to expose their lies?
Lock her up.....HELL, lock em all up. Comey needs to be gone now.... but the dems would go nuts..... so?
It’s easy to reel in the MSM because they will forever believe their own BS ... and because they truly believe Trump is stupid and doesn’t understand their playbook. He’s many steps ahead of them.
And I’m right again.
Been explaining FISA, CALEA and 1996 Telecom Law to my friends on the other side, who are calling Trump a liar.
History lessons on telecom and how we got here [gov spying on all citizens]

They tell us today they don’t collect locations of cell phone trawled for in pursuit of a target named in a warrant.
I want you to understand when they issue a warrant, many times, with “Reasonable Cause” They are violating the Constitution by:
1. Using “Reasonable Cause” as the basis for a warrant. The Constitution requires no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause.
2. supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
As to point 2. above wrap your head around “Whole Pipe” Access. Here they have granted themselves direct access to the Whole Pipe of transmission of information, be that voice or data and includes every last relevant part of a transmission, including location of cell phone at any time during transmission of wink/wink, keep alive, GPS, txt, email, incoming and outgoing calls.
Whole pipe access trawls every device transmitting during the time the NSA, DOJ, DEA and FBI is gathering information on a target. There is a technical reason for why they do this but, I still believe it is against the law for them to gather information, especially as a matter of habit, course and intent, of innoccent people, organizations, enterprises and groups, who have not been named in the warrant haven’t even a tangential relationship to the target named in the warrant.
Service providers are required by to provide all information transmitted by a cell phone, VoIP, PSTN, FAX, VPN, etc inclding CLLI and any and all information that would identify where a transmission geographically begins and ends, as well where the device is when idle.
Now, I purposely misspelled searcches in the title of the thread. Why? Because frequently the information they are targeting is just that much incorrect. Think about that and what I wrote as you delve into my article explaning the history, laws passed, and technical means.
You’ll agree with me, that the NSA and the other alphabet agencies are flat out lying when they claim they don’t don’t do this or that. They do because of the technical means they use to achieve their aims and also because they have less reason to not keep all that is caught in the trawling of a Whole Pipe, during their unConstitutional search and they, having no client to defend will, have, do and will continue to archive any all information they obtain unlawfully.
Everyone of these Asshats are liars.
Great comment, Cementjungle
Maybe Comey figured that staying onboard as FBI director was safer for him than being outside the FBI.
And Trump probably kept him onboard knowing that Comey would have to resign soon enough knowing the hammer would eventually fall on him.
Comey, it’s time to publish that letter of resignation Trump asked you to write.
Another thought. Now that the intel data was scattered to the winds across many intelligence agencies, it makes it easier for a whistleblower to surface.
In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if Wikileaks has another round of leaks to expose on the intelligence agencies.
Corrupt, lawless leakers and Keystone Cops. The image of our intelligence community is not good — but that ugly image is justified.
FBI Director has a nominal ten-year term. Similar to Fed Reserve Chairman, who also serves a fixed term of years. They aren’t routinely asked to resign for a new president like other political appointees, but they can be fired or asked to resign for ‘cause’.
how’s life in rio linde?
Nope he was too busy with the “breaking news” about the London terrorist, which was odd it was breaking news as they found out no new info is 5 hours and still never revealed the Muslim name of the terrorist. I was surprised Shepard Smith was there that early as he doesn’t come on until 3pm normally.
