start simple, without adding height and width info. try this:

I used to do the same thing. I only recently found out you have to upload it to something like photobucket.com or postimage.org then from there you can get the properties and size and then upload it to freerepublic. I liked the simplicity of the postimage.org
One of the reasons your flowers picture wasn't posting is that it is blocked from hot linking at the source.
The picture is in the photobucket site.
Some photos on photobucket can be linked but some people chose to block their photos to prevent linking.

Go there and move your cursor over the boxes on the right and you will see that a tab pops up showing "block" for each one.
