The House Republicans health care plan has dominated the news cycle since it was introduced last week. Starting Monday, the focus in Washington will shift to the Senate confirmation hearing of Judge Neil Gorsuch, President Donald Trumps Supreme Court nominee.
The high-profile fight over Gorsuch, 49, comes one year after Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and Senate Republicans refused to vote on President Barack Obamas nominee to fill the vacancy on the court. The seat was held by Justice Antonin Scalia, who died in February of 2016.
The hearings start at 11 a.m. EST on Monday, March 20

Should be fun to watch;)
You don't have watch on pbs, lot's of options out there.
These hearings will provide an opportunity for posturing and fundraising for the Left, but not much else.
Getting Gorush in will be easy. I wonder about Ginsbergs replacement though.
Because 11 sitting Dems (including Schumer) have approved him before, it's going to be pretty hard to skunk him. And they know they'll just use the nuclear option. In other words, dear Dems, stop wasting everyone's time....with all your righteous cr**.
In my own little fantasy world, Trump calculates what will make the most liberal heads explode...
Ginsburg’s replacement is a non-issue. Why?
When Ginsburg either resigns or dies in office, Trump will nominate another conservative strict constructionist. Democrats will lose their minds. They will refuse, yaddah yaddah yaddah. And the court will continue to run, this time with a 5-3 conservative majority. They’ll complain that the court isn’t up to its full power, and the answer will be “well, you won’t approve my nominee.” This could go on for years, and the democrats seem as obstructionist. All of which makes them look all the more bad. The 2018 senate elections look to be very bad for democrats, to the point of being able to defeat the democrats’ with a 60 vote majority.
Charge up the popcorn maker!
Yep.... replacing Ginsberg with Cruz would be destroy them....
Excellent point, VideoPaul. I’ll stop worrying now! Bless you.
I thought PBS was just the Democrats propaganda division.

i always liked that idea....
Posturing and $. Exactly, but that’s OK. Getting Mr Gorsuch confirmed sets the groundwork for 4 years of “fun.”
Then drag feet on Ginsburg replacement. .. and we have a 5-3 court.
Actually l think Kennedy may go next. That’s fine by me he has betrayed us on a couple of big ones. I just hope Gorsuch isn’t a Trojan Horse he may be my friends, he stayed in a radical left wing church we shall see.
If the Demonicrats step even an iota on the other side of the rules during the hearing, they need to be slapped down hard.
The Republicans need to have the Sergeant-at-Arms ready with a fully charged cattle prod, just in case.
Should be fun to watch;)
All the same, I think we’d be infinitely better off with a solid conservative replacement for Ruth Buzzy. Trump needs to fill them as they become vacant, because there are at least two other old geezers on the SCOTUS who could decide to retire “”when they see it isn’t going to be “fun” any longer,”” and a backlog is just an enticement for the RATs to make the process more worrisome given that we have Mitch McScrotumneck for our worthless “majority leader.”
bump!
Not only that, but it would put in a position to have strong influence for 30+ years... never have to run for reelection. ..
The Federal judge in Hawaii....
Derrick Kahala Watson was born in 1966, in Honolulu, Hawaii,..... 1984 and received his A.B. cum laude from Harvard College in 1988.[3]
Watson received his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1991, and was admitted to practice law in California the same year.[1] Barack Obama and Neil M. Gorsuch were members of his graduating class.[2]

....went to school with Obama and Neil Gorsuch the same year.
The pubbies will have to break the filibuster. The dims will never let Gorsuch on the bench. Will the pubbies have the spine?
