Ginsburg’s replacement is a non-issue. Why?
When Ginsburg either resigns or dies in office, Trump will nominate another conservative strict constructionist. Democrats will lose their minds. They will refuse, yaddah yaddah yaddah. And the court will continue to run, this time with a 5-3 conservative majority. They’ll complain that the court isn’t up to its full power, and the answer will be “well, you won’t approve my nominee.” This could go on for years, and the democrats seem as obstructionist. All of which makes them look all the more bad. The 2018 senate elections look to be very bad for democrats, to the point of being able to defeat the democrats’ with a 60 vote majority.
Charge up the popcorn maker!
Excellent point, VideoPaul. I’ll stop worrying now! Bless you.

All the same, I think we’d be infinitely better off with a solid conservative replacement for Ruth Buzzy. Trump needs to fill them as they become vacant, because there are at least two other old geezers on the SCOTUS who could decide to retire “”when they see it isn’t going to be “fun” any longer,”” and a backlog is just an enticement for the RATs to make the process more worrisome given that we have Mitch McScrotumneck for our worthless “majority leader.”
