Media: The mainstream press turned on Rachel Maddow after her disastrous attempt to drum up ratings by hyping a humdrum Donald Trump tax return. Why are they upset? She just did what they've been doing since Trump got elected.
After teasing a "huge scoop" on Twitter — that she had Trump's tax returns — Maddow got scooped by the White House, which announced a half-hour before her show started that Trump paid $38 million in taxes in 2005, which was all Maddow had.
That's a huge amount of taxes by any standard, and represented 24% of Trump's income that year. It didn't take long for others to point out this effective rate was higher President Obama's (19%) or Socialist Bernie Sanders (13%), or even the average paid by MSNBC's parent company, Comcast, between 2008 and 2012 (24%).
Trump's tax rate also happens to be far higher than the richest 1% — or even the richest 0.001% — of taxpayers paid that year, according to IRS data. In fact, filers making $50 million or more in 2005 paid an average tax rate of 19%.

She is properly addressed as Rachel MadCow.

But MadCow feels the daily yearning to get viewership numbers sufficient to beat at least one of the Fox News hosts. If he/she has to throw his/her political party under the bus to achieve that end, so be it.

In her...him...xie...xir...zim-zala-bim’s defense, there was no indication that they had anything nefarious, just that they had his “tax returns”, which was true.
It was sure to be a ratings booster and tweeting a teaser was perfectly reasonable. Likely a bit too vague to live up to the hype and deranged expectations of the libs though.
After that tweet went out, they likely had a “oh crap” moment.
It’s a FELONY.
Law states: if you steal it, expose it, remove it from the IRS offices, show it in public, mail it to someone, give it to someone, IT ALL COUNTS AS COMMITTING A FELONY.
And .. hating Donald J. Trump is not a valid excuse.
I hope they all go to jail.
By the way, Trump probably paid millions in NY state tax, and NYC municipal tax in addition to the Federal tax shown on the 1040 Form.

I wonder... my tax guy I’ve use for years has turned out to be the most hateful anti-Trumper on earth....I wonder how he reacted to seeing Trump pay so much because im sure he thought Trump was a tax cheat on top of every thing else..I just wonder if it gave him pause to rethink

Everyone is focus on their own taxes right now so they relate to the hand in their pocket right now.
Everyone is seeing what is taken from them...
So this is the prefect time for for this for people to see Trump paid 38 mil...
Because people will focus on and relate to what he paid..38 million dollars in federal tax in just one year
