Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom to propose universal health care in race to succeed Jerry Brown

Democratic Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom is drafting a health care plan for California that he plans to unveil as a core component of his gubernatorial run, based in part on the universal health care program he signed into law when he was mayor of San Francisco.

Newsom, seen as a strong contender in the increasingly crowded field of candidates vying to succeed Gov. Jerry Brown in 2018, is staking out an ambitious plan to rein in rising health care costs, expand universal access to people across the state regardless of income or immigration status and preserve coverage for the estimated 5 million Californians who risk losing their insurance under President Donald Trump’s changes.

“I think that it’s inevitable in this country that, after all the trials and errors, we find ourselves face-to-face with a Medicare-for-all conversation,” Newsom said. “That’s what we are pursuing.

It’s not quite a universal health care program, just a global health care program. Any sick parasite in any country in the world who can sneak into California will get “free” medical care - paid for by any productive Americans stupid enough to stay in the People’s Republic of California. Somehow, I suspect the few remaining working Californians will look at that deal and leave before too long.

Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom, 49, was married to Fox personality Kimberly Guilfoyle from 2001 to 2005. He then had an affair with the married wife of one of his aides. He then remarried an actress and they have four children. He has undergone treatment for alcohol abuse.

Kimberly is well rid of this screwed-up lefty.

This guy is one of the earliest tools to legalize gay marriage in this state. His opponent will be Antonio Villaraigosa, former Mayor of Los Angeles. Don’t know who will be worse.

One of these days the California state union members are going to get a real rude awakening. It’s going to be very ugly.

When they do, they will be able to think back on all the big pie in the sky projects that contributed to bankrupting the state.

They can feel good about themselves, as they go hungry.

There isn’t a way this state can pay for all it’s obligations going forward. At some point a day of reckoning will come.

I had a conversation with a person who was as upset about state conditions as I was. I reminded them that the Democrats have had control of California’s Legislature for the last 60 years. (all but a one year long stint)

I asked, so which party do you think is responsible for screwing up the state.

Answer: the Republicans

Seriously. This was not an uneducated person either.

So Newsom landed on his feet after Carson ...

Pretty good. Especially after being dead for 10 years ...

So Newsom wants to provide healthcare for people in California, Mexico and Central America.

Good luck with that.

Noting that the primaries start in Iowa and New Hampshire in February ‘18, patriots need to challenge candidates for federal office in the following way.

Iowa's 2018 primary is in June. Iowa only uses the February precinct caucuses for Presidential candidate preference, candidates for other offices run in the primary. New Hampshire's 2018 primary will be in September.

Thank you for that correction. I did my best to Google the information but it was a challenge.

Now I have to check which states might have 2018 primaries before Iowa and New Hampshire.

No wonder he initiated the illegal governmental assault on authentic (”traditional”) marriage in 2004.

People’s Republic of Vermont already tried it and when they determined that people would have their state income taxes raised 160% to pay for it they let out a big never mind. Sucks
when liberals find out they have to pay for stuff and there are not enough rich people in the state to pay for it for them. California should be even more dramatic because of course they will want their sanctuary state illegals covered.
And the great thing is they have to pay for it today because most states have a constitutional requirement to annually balance the budget, not like the Feds who can borrow it and have funny money printed to pay for it.Good luck Gavin, you idiot.

Perhaps they will fund Medicare-for-all with profits from the high speed rail in the central valley.

And will certainly be the Democrat nominee running against Pence in 2024, if not 2020.

My money is on the senator who investigated the people who caught Planned Parenthood in the act instead of PP for selling baby parts. Very radical liberal, sanctuary city supporter, and aggressive. She and Newsom know all about each other. Would be interesting to watch the cat fight.
