Interesting that some of the groups paid off. I guess they got a sneak preview of what they could expect if they did not payoff. It must have scared the beJesus out of them.

“...The Center for American Progress, a Washington think tank with strong links to both the Clinton and Obama administrations, and Arabella Advisors, which guides liberal donors who want to invest in progressive causes, have been asked to pay ransoms, according to people familiar...”

Oh, I think we know who the anti-American SCUMBAGS are.

Breaking into the DNC servers is hard work.

It deserves to be rewarded, particularly after Podesta refused to cough up even a penny. Ditto that cheapskate Putin. A guy has gotta make a living. Blackmail seems the obvious choice, particularly given all that great DNC material that was downloaded. Can’t let that go to waste.

Seems to me the right thing to do is not pay the ransom and come clean. For three reasons:

1) The blackmailers have little motive not to just demand bigger ransoms later until they get as much as they can. When they finally run you out of what you can pay or are willing to pay then what? Likely they release it and all your ransom is for nothing.

2) Paying makes blackmail more profitable, and encourages more blackmail of others and maybe even yourself on a future occasion.

3) If you have done something shabby, it is best to come clean. Repentance is never fun, but it is the right thing and good for the soul.

I still haven’t figured out what a “bitcoin” is, how to get one, or what to do with it. Is it anything like a “round tuit”?
I definitely know what a “round tuit” is, and boyoboy, if I ever get one of those, there’ll be no stopping me!

In one case, a non-profit group and a prominent liberal donor discussed how to use grant money to cover some costs for anti-Trump protesters. The identities were not disclosed..

A prominent liberal donor. Gee, I wonder who that could be.

Let’s be honest, if the Russians were hacking both Republicans and Democrats, we wouldn’t be hearing complaints about the hacking. All we’d hear is republican dirty laundry.

What the Dems are really upset about is the Russians are only targeting them.

In the nineties, the Clintons had all the FBI files on the republican politicians.

Is it no wonder the cowardly eGOP didn’t convict WJC or impeach him for the correct reason; colluding with the Chinese and accepting millions to get elected?

All of this “Russia Russia Russia” conspiracy nonsense is HYSTERIA from tight-twisted panty wearing libs.

THEY are paranoid and delusional.

..... a spokesperson for The Center for American Progress (CAP) told Bloomberg, “CAP has no evidence we have been hacked, no knowledge of it and no reason to believe it to be true. CAP has never been subject to ransom” .....

==================================================

The Center for American Progress (CAP) was started in 2003 by John Podesta, Bill Clinton's onetime Chief of Staff; Podesta led Obama’s presidential transition team after 2008 and was Hillary’s 2016 campaign manager.

PODESTA DECONSTRUCTED---A leaked Jan. 3, 2014 document shows that Podesta transferred more than 25,000 of 75,000 shares of Joule Technologies---a Russian-connected firm---to Leonidio Holdings LLC......listed w/ an address at his daughter's Megan Rouse’s Shannon Court home in Dublin, California. Rouse operates Megan Rouse Financial Planning from that same address. The inference is to money laundering, perhaps tax evasion. Suggests that Megan Rouse's father, John Podesta, hid stocks connected to Russia.

Conspiring w/ a family member to hide income, launder illicit money, and evade taxes is a known scam---uncovered by the IRS in the UBS investigation.
